Not often you can say you sat outside in Scotland for a meal in November, but we did and it was excellent. Fish was cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious - we'll be back!

After a breathtaking visit to Dunnotar Castle, my family walked to the village of Stonehaven for lunch. We'd been told The Bay had great fish and chips, and we were not misled! The wait was pretty long, and the weather was a bit grey and misty, but the experience was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious - nice and hot,... More

We both had the haddock and chips and shared a tub of yummy mushy peas. Nice touch is that you also get offered a wedge of fresh lemon which is a bit different to the usual salt and vinegar. The fish was fresh cooked to order. The batter was amazing. I'd definitely recommend this fish and chip shop, great service... More

Had a great Haddock "supper". the chips were a bit ordinary, but the fish was tender, fresh and hot. 7 pound for the Standard Haddock Supper which includes chips, no complaints about that price for the fish quality

Oh my goodness. The fish and chips are to die for. Breaded haddock are worth travelling for. And eaten right on the beach straight out of the paper.

On a windy Autumn day in Aberdeen we decided to go for a chip shop lunch. Where else to go but the Bay chipper in Stonehaven. The food is second to none. My fish platter and chips was lovely, the Mrs had a black pudding and chips and loved it. My son had the kids chicken gougons and chips which... More

We recently stayed at Johnshaven 13 miles away, i would have gladly crawled the way there. We ate there twice, and both times they were busy, yet the staff were pleasant and helpful. The fish as fresh as you can get, probably the best i have ever had cooked in a light batter, non greasy. Everything is freshly cooked to... More
