Heading out of Aberdeen, and having missed breakfast due to morning meetings back to back, a colleague recommended a stop prior to heading back to Middlesbrough here. Slightly off the A90, watch out they have dug the roads up and you may miss it, is the beautiful wee seaside village of Stonehaven. We drove to the seafront and found Mollys,... More

We stop here for lunch,my wife had Cullen Skink and I had lentil & ham hock soup,it came with a hot roll and the coffee was great, finally after eating in quite a few places,we find somewhere that actually makes homemade soup.10 out of 10.

Friendly atmosphere. Very busy and well worth the wait as the food is first rate and very tasty indeed. Reasonable priced. Just what you need after your visit to Dunnottar Castle.

Cullen skink and a warm buttered roll. At that moment, nothing could have been better suited than this creamy smoked fish bowl of velvety scrumptiousness.

I hadn't been to this café for a long time and had arranged to meet a friend there for afternoon tea. The furnishings are looking shabby and not especially clean. The young man serving was very off-hand. We ordered 2 teas and 2 carrot cakes. The tiny squares of carrot cake arrived, about 6x6x2 cm - tasteless sponge and a... More

An unprepossessing exterior hides a very nice informal seafront cafe/bistro. I visited in the early evening of a Saturday, and the place was busy even then. Service was attentive, friendly and drinks came quickly. As well as the printed menu, there was an extensive specials board of interesting and varied starters, mains and puds. I chose the cullen skink starter... More

I came here for lunch on an incredibly cold day. I had Cullen skink to start which was incredible. I then had chicken goujons with chips which were served in a lovely big portion the chicken was cooked to perfection the chips were maybe slightly overdone for my taste but nonetheless they were gorgeous. All topped off with a cup... More
