When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my family ate here last week, more so through lack of other options in kilmore quay in the winter, however it turned out to be exactly what we needed. There's a large indoor seating area which was ideal on our day of visiting as...it was freezing outside. They have a huge menu to choose from and also offer specials on the day too. I had some kilmore monkfish bites which were really good, although a little pricey for the portion at just under €12 and that wasn't with chips either. The portion sizes are a bit smaller than other chip shops we've used in Wexford but you always expect to pay more and get less when you're right on the coast. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals too. The curry sauce was amazing in here and actually had a bit of a spicy kick to it too.More

Had fish and chip here but we were served way too much food per portion. The food was good but I was not able to eat the huge portion I got. I do not like waste.

A lovely experience to order fresh cod goujons and chips at 17.30 yesterday Sunday 28th August for the two of us. A lovely lady took our order reminding us of a possible 45 minute wait for our food order. We took a walk along the...coastal walk and returned when our call came through on the phone that our order was ready. Staff were extremely busy and served the food with a smile. The food was delicious and while it might appear, initially expensive, when you think of it you can sit down either inside or outside and enjoy the atmosphere and the views with real top class fresh food...it is worth the money. We loved the experience and we will be back. Thank you Little Saltee Chipper!More

We ended up going here by accident. Have to say it was really nice food and friendly staff. The Gourmet Chicken Burger was fabulous 👌. Really good with a choice of sit in or take away. Nice and clean and reasonable price food

Been going to Little Saltee for many years. Food is really good and sitting outside on a nice day by the harbour is a treat. This year we were shocked by the prices - two adults and four teens cost nearly €90 euro (this was...outside on picnic benches not in the restaurant). Won't be returning unless there is pricing that works for Families.More

No visit to this part of Wexford would be complete without a visit to Saltees for the freshest fish on the planet. Love the traditional vibe, the paper wrapping, the fact they take your order on paper and phone when its ready..and the day we...were there a busker was playing by the harbour....HEAVEN!More

Had fish and chips here a couple of years ago they were superb then. Visited end of July had takeaway to eat on my boat and they were still superb. Huge portions cooked to perfection hardly an oil stain on the wrapping paper, service excellent...very organised. Haddock first nite, monkfish second nite, chips perfect, could not fault it.More

Had a lovely meal and the food was tasty but very disappointed when a cup of tea spilled on collection of a fifty euro order and they charged for the replacement cup of tea. Over all the place was very clean.

Food was excellent but not cheap! A bottle of basic beer cost €7.50 so arrange an overdraft before you go. No restaurant available. The downside - a 40 minute wait for takeaway fish & chips! Shocking.

We came for dinner restaurant not open but you could order your takeaway in Chipper and eat in restaurant. It cost over 80 euros for our order which is shocking for a takeaway. We had a burger and chips, 2 cod goujons and chips, and...a haddock and chips. We also got 3 drinks. We went back up for ketchup each pot 1 euro each. A bag of chips was 3.60 which is restaurant prices. I have no issue with the food but it was insulting to have to pay such a large amount of money when all we got were fish n chips wrapped in paper for 80 euro. If they want to charge restaurant prices run it like a restaurant not a Chipper.More

This has got to be one of the best fish and chips in Ireland, we had to queue to place our order (mid afternoon, mid week !) They take your phone no and call when yours is ready as everything is cooked to order, we...ordered the local haddock & chips which consisted of 2 normal size fish in delightful light batter and real chips in each portion! And sat outside in the sunshine on the picnic benches provided to eat it OK it's not the cheapest place but it's definitely one of the bestMore

Hello, As Noel G said, I think it it is only open weekends during the winter. The food is great, however Mary Barry's restaurant in Kilmore itself Is worth a try, and as far as I know is open every day
