Long road ahead with the boys. Before that -> lunch time! Grated vegetables and good tasting bread first. Dark bread was perfect: a little bit sweet and a little bit frozen. Just how a like it. Asked for some coke got pepsi, ok! Salmon tasted woody as promised. Waiter is a legend, an urban legend perhaps? However, thank you for the excellent lunch.

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant as we were in the neighbourhood. We did not have a reservation but managed to get a table. We were lucky as the restaurant seemed to be full and very busy at that time on a Saturday. My friend had a grilled king prawn and goat cheese salad and I had slightly smoked trout with smashed potatoes. Both dishes were really good. The staff was friendly and attentive even if they were busy. I would recommend to make abooking, especially if you have a bigger group or want to go there on peak times.

I wanted a funnel chanterelle soup. It is autumn and time for funnel chanterelles. There were many people in the restaurant mostly children with their parents. When you cannot travel abroad you have to find some lazy time in Finland. The soup was excellent.

This restaurant used to be a very good one; quality of the food and service were at excellent level. Unfortunately, this is not the case any more. This month the restaurant disappointed us. Not only once but twice. The First time we visited was at the beginning of June for dinner and my husband ordered a gluten-free burger (see pic). Bunny was changed to the normal bread slices without telling us. Tasted horrible. No discount on the bill nor apologies.Second time, during lunch time. Waitress forgot our order, did not tell us about the salad bar (incl to lunch meal price) or bread selection (incl to the lunch meal price too). We waited and waited.. until my husband asked the waitress about the order. The service was sloppy and unprofessional. The waitress we talked with was a mess; snapped and prideful. The dish we had was fish and the portion was super small. I guess they had too many customers during lunch time and they had to split portions. No refund provided on the bill this time either. I don’t think we go back.. ever.

As starter we got Buchwheat blini with whitefish roe, red onion and sour cream and then grilled reindeer roast with cooked reindeer shank, celeriac and spruce. As dessert there were pralinenut cake with salted caramel and cherry sorbet. In the beginning we ordered apple calvados cinnamon glögi. The reindeer was very good.

I asked Maria to join me on lunch at Restaurant Bistro O Mat. Today they had three main menys and specially one attracted us. We ordered tomato soup, which is convenient in such a hot day in Kirkkonummi. It is 28 degrees Celsius. The tomato soup was good. To the start we ate sallad and dark bread. Nice.

My first visit at this reputed restaurant left me puzzled.
The reception and welcome were amiable, the overall 'American' service nicely attentive. The overall ambiance good!
My wife's mussles were delicious and plump (thou not too well scrubbed).
My herring starter lacked any and all balance on the plate. My porcini risotto main was nicely al dente and quite tasty, but why was there more on that plate?
The Muga rioja white wine was a pleasing discovery.
Hope the balance was just missing that Wednesday night.

I usually look at the menu of Bistro O Mat to find out if they have something I want to eat. For once I discovered a mushroom soup made of funnel chanterelle. It tasted good with dark bread and butter.

Lunch. The menu read smoked salmon. It was actually rainbow salmon that had been smoked with too much heat
Chicken breast with pumpkin risotto. The chicken breast was good, the risotto was a sweet porridge.
The whole, unfortunately, does not match the previous level of the place

Kävin ensimmäistä kertaa Bistro O matissa Kirkkonummella ystävieni suosituksesta. Otin burgerin ja vaimoni valitsi jättikatkarapusalaatin. Molemmat annokset olivat superhyviä. Vaimoni mielestä salaatti oli paras laatuaan, minkä on syönyt. Myös minun burgerini oli kokonaisuudessaan loistava.
My visit to Bistro O mat in Kirkkonummi was a first one. Thanks to my friends for recommendation. I had a Burger and my wife a Salad with prawns. Both choices were excellent. The salad was best ever, my wife said. We highly recommend Bistro O Mat.

It was a stormy winter day with much snow. I had a nearly full working day with tree companies and their year ends. I also checked the tax situation and in one case i had to pay tax in advance. I had no time to cook a meal so I went to Bistro O Mat in Kirkkonummi. I ate potatoes filled with smoked salmon. It was good enough to still my hunger.

It was a warm afternoon. I have to change my electricity company and had hard to come through with a telephone. Then at last after several hours I mad a contract with Karhu Voima Oy. The prices are up and it is hard to find any sheep contract. The beer tasted good.

I had eaten all week soft food because of my tooth. Dover sole seemed to be a good solution for today and the continuation of soft food. I went to Bistro O Mat in Kirkkonummi and ordered Red Dover Sole with potatoes. The meal was very good.

We had a meeting with half a dozen people. We got a presentation and discussed about it. The restaurant was quite empty. Maybe it is because of the corona virus has spread in Finland and we have over a hundred infections in Finland. Anyway the lobster soup was excellent.

As one lady of the Board said we have not done anything special. So we decided to eat a Christmas dinner. Three of us took reindeer us starter and duck us main course. Then we got cheese just between and a dessert. A fantastic combination.
