We organised a charity quiz night with fish and chips, and Jaki took on the challenge of supplying 105 fish suppers. The exercise went like clockwork, and all were delivered and served while they were hot and crisp. The batter was super, the portions were generous and everyone was happy! Jaki went out of her way to accommodate vegetarians and... More

We ordered the fish and chip suppers, batteries black pudding and a burger. We hadn't realised the shop was closing in about 15 minutes until we were about to leave but the staff were cheerful, busy and happy to carry on serving until 5 minutes before closing- how refreshing and client aware. The food was all good.

Friendly efficient staff. Fish and chips delicious freshly cooked, well worth the wait. A real treat completely different to what you get in the midlands. Standard is consistently high over several years

Thoroughly enjoyed our takeout whilst staying at the Fortrose bay campsite. You have to wait a little longer, but it is well worth it. Get in early or phone ahead because it does get busy

Great selection of food. Good friendly staff. Food well cooked and hot. The only take away we visited on our visit as it looked and was very clean.

We were staying in Fortrose and asked the lady at the camp site what the chippy in nearby Avoch was like. She said ok but she preferred the one in Fortrose which we hadn't seen. So we went down and ordered two fish and chips, and a small pot of mushy peas. We were asked if we wanted to make... More

I am really sorry to hear you did not enjoy your fish suppers. Yes our batter is yellow not the usual grey that you receive in most chip shops. Also the smell that you have never smelt before will be due to the fryers being clean as fresh oil has a strange smell as no food has been cooked in... More

Had a chippy at the Fortrose branch while staying in Rosemarkie on holiday. Great food, freshly made with good service. The best we found in the area.

The best fish you can get locally. Food is always lovely. Downside is it's always busy and you need to wait 15/20mins but that's because everything is fresh.

I have been using this chippy two or three times a year on family visits and it is usually good. This time, went with book (I know about the waiting times) but didn't read because I was so shocked at the staff rudeness. I asked for pizza and was told bluntly "not doing them" so chose the usual fish and... More

I am really sorry that you have had such a bad experience on this visit and can hopefully say that the grumpy faces was due to exhaustion. It was the local festival weekend along with the Black Isle show so the team have been working really hard and while they are all relatively young sometimes it's hard to keep them... More

Standard fish and chip shop offerings - range of suppers, pizzas, burgers etc. Fish was huge and scampi was tasty, small wait for food as everything is made fresh to order. Chips were a little on the cool side while the fish/scampi was piping hot.
