Went here for a Sunday evening meal with the family for my birthday. It is a large pub very light and airy if slightly impersonal. The staff were welcoming and quickly sorted our table for us. Their service was good with friendly chat and a...More

We visited Bank Holiday Monday but were squeezed in, four of us plus 2 dogs. Our meals were all lovely and served super quickly. My veggie pasta dish was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

Three of us ate here. We all ordered the fish and chips. Tasty fish, nice chips and good portion size. The price was ok too. There are a good selection of beers/ales on offer. The building itself is nice, wooden beams and open fireplaces. The...More

The chef here has really improved the menu. More than pub grub, there are some delicious meals to tempt you. Sunday lunch is fantastic, 2 sizes too. Lots of veg, my favourite! We had brisket and I'm converted. A new extension is soon to be...More

Unfriendly and rude welcome. Don't bother. I would rate this zero stars if I could so a rating of one is generous. We were visiting for the weekend and wanted a nice dinner in a dog friendly environment. Having got through the door to be...More

I don't think I have ever written a terrible review, but fellow tourists need a warning. Entered the bar area to be greeted with a throughly warm welcome of the off duty bar maid "Put your dog on a lead!". The dog was right by...More

Description
The Rydon Inn is a converted traditional Devon Long House, it has been beautifully developed, with high vaulted ceilings exposing all the beam work in the main pub area, this also includes an unconventional thatched bar. The idealiac conservatory eating area over looks our large landscaped gardens and peaceful lake which houses outdoor seating for those long summer evenings. There is a pool table to keep you and the kids entertained. If you would like something a little more private we have our restaurant in the original part of the Devon Long House, which is ideal for more secluded smaller group meetings or dinners.
