The setting of the restaurant is nice and looks lovely but the food is very average. I think that when you sell the house wine by the kilo it should be a warning. We had a greek salad which was chopped tomatos, cucumber, a slice...More

At first we were expecting a simple family restaurant as it was quite empty (probably because we arrived late). However the minute we sat down we were greeted nicely by the owner! Without even asking we were given a big basket of bread ,water and...More

A traditional Greek taverna, simple but good food, Greek menu. Well done. Friendly waiters, relaxed atmosphere.

The setting of this restaurant is beautiful and a change from the other seafront tavernas. The food was home cooked and authentic. The beef stifado was particularly delicious. Lagos Taverna is definitely worth a visit!

We've been here three times now and the food is always great. A family drive restaurant with nice staff and excellent service.

After 3 years away from Crete we still remembered how brilliant this restaurant was, especially for the moussaka! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle it still manages to be busy - worth reserving.

Nice and tasty food and friendly and good service. We had both starters and main dishes, all of it very satisfying.

Great food, service and atmosphere. A lovely shady haven. The best Stifado I've ever eaten. Mum of the Taverna made excellent cheese pies... again some of the best I've tried. Delicious fresh swordfish cooked simply on the charcoal grill... superb.

Hi Liz Closed for health reasons in Greece means someone in the family is not well. Not due to poor hygiene.
