Not being located on the harbour front, an error could be made in passing this fantastic restaurant in favour of such. Indeed, we ourselves were guilty of this initially. Note, though, that Plantanos is rarely less than full, even as the tourist season is slowing to a halt. In my humble opinion, this is not because the harbour side restaurants... More

Came across this place by chance really. Near to our villa up the road to Kothreas and kicking ourselves we didn't come across it earlier. Best and most tender Kalimari we had on our stay and perhaps in many many years. Wild bream and not farmed recommended. Baked/roasted potatoes also lovely. Owner a really character and enjoyed his chats and... More

During our stay in Assos we ate here on three occasions. Each time was a delight. The owner certainly looks the part - jovial, enthusiastic, keen to explain each dish and why it is better than the Turkish version (!). "A very good choice, Sir," each time almost had me believing that I was a fellow gourmet; in the know... More

We have travelled throught Greece over a number of years and this is the best we have been to for the food and service. Don't take notice of the spurious bad reviews.

What a delightful restaurant! It's a family run business & they certainly give service with a smile. Our lunch was a tapas style meal and each dish was very tasty, well presented and good portion size. We sat inside due to the inclement weather, which is small but there are plenty of tables in the outside area. Definitely would go... More

We liked very much this restaurant for many reasons: the staff was very friendly, food was really good not only focused on traditional dishes but also many fish options. One of few restaurants which prepares the kleftiko on the traditional way -without feta cheese- that you cannot find easily around Greece. I was unsure about the fish cause I wanted... More

The food, wine, and service were all excellent..great value for your money. Perfectly cooked and spiced lamb, cheap tasty house wine, authentic feel...just the kind of place I'm always looking for...the cheese stuffed peppers were also excellent

Great service and beautiful views, the food was excellent and most enjoyable. The only downside was the wasps were irritating.

Our family of three ate here four times in a fortnight and I can confidently say this is the best food in Assos. What it lacks in sea views it makes up in spades with perfectly cooked meat (especially goat) and fish (sea bream) and crucially has a front of house man who turns each visit into a culinary expedition...
