The wedges were good. The pizza was pretty sad looking and unremarkable. Restaurant pizzas should be a cut above fast food pizza joints. Use freshly made pizza bases, not supermarket as was obvious when the toppings didn't make it to the edges. Be more generous with your toppings to create a taste explosion; At $20, I would expect a lot... More

This is not my first time to Ed street but it is my first review. Not sure why we keep giving them another chance. When I think about all my dinning experiences at Ed street more often than not they are less than ideal with the recent making me decide to comment. I ordered a pizza and its base seemed... More

I ordered the duck with noodles, veges and bok choy. Was expecting more vegetables rather than a plate full of noodles and 2 bok choys! My friends pork belly came out with no crackling on it. Don't think I will be returning here

What a terrible place to eat! Angus 250g Ribeye - I was assured it was "good" so ordered it rare. When it arrived the waitress informed me that the docket had slid down the side if the dish and got "stuck" in the jus, so recommended I leave "that wee bit there" as there may still be some paper in... We turned up on a Monday night with no booking and nearly missed out so first tip is book in advance. Entrees were great all round, so too the mains. I was particularly impressed with how the venison was done. Others in our group had the duck and another the pasta. All were perfectly plated and the meals were really... More

Headed into Ed Street before a concert in town and the beer was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and the dinner was great!

Not knowing what to expect after reading varied comments, I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in everything from the atmosphere to the greeting something said to me this was going to be enjoyable and it was. I was visiting Pukekohe from Hamilton and would love to transplant the restaurant to Hamilton. Thoroughly reccommend, the food was superb... More

Have had a nice lunch here once before so returned to try dinner. Definitely gone downhill since last time we came. We ate in the Ed Street part, downstairs. Room was lacking ambience and chairs and table were empty (no cutlery etc) and dirty. Didn't help that the band was setting up the entire time we were there and kept... More

Had a light meal of ribs and other mains and snacks shared between our group. One of the orders was forgotten (not delivered or charged), but as it happened there was enough for everyone as portions were generous. The wedges with cheese etc were particularly tasty. Service was friendly and used a discount voucher so meal was very economical -... More
