If all cafes/restaurants were run like this one the world would be a better place.. Outstanding food with great service... And I was only looking for a quick sandwich. If your visiting or just passing through call in. Bravo! .

Favourite place to eat! Very affordable and large portions, usually have loads of leftovers for next day. Super handy for families to collect meals.
Amazing food with great service. The new salad bar is gorgeous. We regularly get food from here and it’s full of flavour. Highly recommended
This place is awful - food was precooked and old - salads coleslaw and broccoli salad were past it and full of vinegar - in an attempt to increase its longevity - absolutely disgusting
Went for lunch soup cold got a stale roll and waited for soup 20monutes to be served. Slow service..
I had the fish and chips for dinner, i think the fish had expired. You wouldn’t give it to an animal.
We flew from London to Ireland, both fully vaccinated (my boyfriend even has the third booster jab) with the certs to prove it, negative PCR tests and passenger locator forms; all this was enough to get through Luton and Kerry airports, but The Kitchen Table...refused to serve us because their faulty machine wouldn’t scan the barcodes of the certificates. To top that off, the owner/manager wouldn’t come out of the back so we could explain it to him and show him the forms; instead, he made a young waitress refuse us on the spot. He clearly didn’t understand the restrictions. We had less hassle at the airports than we did at The Kitchen Table. We ended up going to another restaurant in town where we had none of that trouble.More
En route to Killarney fro Kildare . We dropped by for some lunch. 4 of us decided to order 4 variety dishes and each one of us enjoyed every bite! The best roast beef in pepper sauce I have ever tasted. Super tender . We...all loved their home cooked meals that we planned to drop by again tomorrow on our way back home.More

Had lunch here with mother and 3 year old nephew as we had been here before. Again fantastic helpful staff. The food just as fantastic as ever. You get honest hearty food at keen price. We were there and it was full upstairs and down...with a great buzz. Service was quick and friendly.More
Pan fried chicken was amazing!!! Chicken carbonara was really good. Thai chicken curry was just okay but this is Ireland so you should be sticking to meat and potatoes... Serving sizes were XXL. Toffee pudding was AMAZING!!! Chocolate fudge cake was great. Apple crumble was...very good. Sooo sleepy. Need a nap...More
My father recommended this place to us as a place to go on a Sunday afternoon. It is located on the Main Street of Abbeyfeale. As we entered we were welcomed by one of the waitresses and shown to a table and handed a menu....The place was very busy which I think shows a sign of its popularity. I ordered roast lamb, my partner had lasagne, my dad ordered roast rib of beef and my mum ordered a chicken curry. The waitress was very polite and took our order . The food arrived reasonably quickly And my what a plate of food arrived for all of us. My food was absolutely delicious and tasty and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I asked for no mash but was told chips came as well as mash. The plate had no mash as requested and a plate of chips was provided. None of us finished our plates of food as the portion was very large. However there is an option on the menu to have a smaller portion at 2.50 euros less. I also had a pot of tea and plenty of water was available to drink . We decided against a desert as we were all full but the choice was plentiful. After finishing what we could we decided to get the bill. The four summers plus the lot of tea came to just under 55’euros. This was a great meal at a reasonable price with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the areaMore
Lacking nearby alternatives, we decided to risk lunch at this simple restaurant and we were happy that we did. My wife chose a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a salad side and chips, and I went for the stuffed roast lamb with mash and...vegetables. We drank water and Coke. As others have remarked, my dish was more like a good home-cooked Sunday roast, and the portions were large. The decor was basic but clean and tidy, and the service friendly and efficient. The restaurant is on two floors and upstairs, where we ate, serves as a kind of canteen for the local girls’ school, with pupils occupying all of the other tables. At the low price we paid (€30), our lunch represented good value for money.More
