Difficult to find, so here are the GPS coordinates: 37°11'47.6"N 7°30'45.6"W or 37.196547, -7.512655. Very good restaurant with an English speaking owner, who is personally involved with his guests. We have had a number of very good dinners. Recommended!

This is the second time we have visited this area and we were very much looking forward to coming back to this restaurant. The local food was absolutely delicious once again and the service excellent. The somewhat rustic building provides for an authentic dining experience and we finished off our meal with a rather nice glass of Port. I highly... More

This restaurant is Popular with Portuguese and tourists. They speak English and perhaps more languages. The boss is Antonio nicknamed "To" and he explains the menu well. Traditional dishes like black-pig cheeks are yummy, tender and unforgettable. Tuna belly is also amazing . Black pig is the best and "To" has a list of recipes of the different cuts. The... More

Have now been twice and it is one of our favorites in the area. Tucked away from busy beach area but well worth the short drive. Staff are very attentive and you do not feel rushed.. Lovely family run and food is very good quality and a very extensive menu. Last time I had one of the kebabs and it... More

In the countryside, next to nothing. After a good beach day. Very nice people serving you, good service. The food is Algarve's and Alentejo typical. Good pork, seafood and fish dishes -grilled and other. Try tuna fish, clams and seafood rice.Rich and addequate desserts. An experience to repeat.

I like this restaurant and the owner. The food is tasty. Clams and pork excellent. Atmosphere was nice, sat outside. Service really good at first but as the restaurant filled became more patchy! Getting the bill was a real fight, in the end had to go in and wait to pay. We went back another day and same story. Would... More

Just arrived home after our visit to Dom Rodrigo. When 8 of us turn up to a small place it can be a little daunting but the owner and staff were so welcoming and accommodating towards us. 4 of our party had fish dishes including sea bream and corvina, whilst the rest of us went for meat (Pork and cockles... The owner Antonio is always very pleased to see you and extends a warm welcome. We have never been disappointed with any meal that we have eaten here and always try something different from the extensive menu. The price is reasonable in a lovely country location

We discovered this small restaurant in Castro Marin when driving from Malhao to Altura. And it was one of our best discoveries during our Portugal trip. We ate a starter (a plate with tomatoes and herbs and a plate with sardines), main course (2 specials of the day (pork)), one dessert and two glasses of wine and this for only... More

A warm welcome awaits at this traditional Restaurant, Dom Rodrigo. The staff are always very helpful and attentive and are only too happy to suggest new dishes for you to try. The food is a wonderful mix of traditional Portuguese and European dishes. This is one of my favourite places to eat.
