Finnish highway restaurants, while not exactly Michelin Star quality, provide decent fare and are generally clean and well-run. So this place came as a surprise. We made the mistake of opting for the buffet lunch. Multiple trays were empty, including the bread basket, for extended periods. The plates were not properly washed. I never leave food behind, what passed for lasagna here was simply inedible.

Excellent bakery products that they make on site and lunch was very tasty. Overall a beautiful spot to stop on Highway 4 as it’s by a river (I heard there’s even very nice fly fishing spots nearby!). We chatted a bit with the owner who was a very nice guy and overall the staff were friendly.
