We decided to divert via Huntingfield on our way home from Cratfield Open Gardens Day. The sun was shining and the Huntingfield Arms garden looked inviting so we stopped for a drink. One thing led to another and we ordered Sunday lunch too, roast lamb...with roasties, yorkies, greens, broccoli, carrots, swede, green beans and cauliflower cheese. Excellent, £11 per head, lovely peaceful surroundings, friendly service. Must go again soon,More

The barbecue menu was simple and entirely adequate. Very tasty and without fuss. Most enjoyable sitting outside in this peaceful village with no fuss and very easy service. The highlight was the raspberry and almond tart with hot custard - custard made specially for me!...Very much looking forward to a return visit.More

A great dinner for two, with an exceptional welcome and real ales. Whilst the menu choice is modest, it is still ample, inc vegetarian options. Good prices and ample portion sizes. We had the fish platter (starter) which was huge, exceptional quality, and included roll...top herring, salmon, mackerel and prawns - amazing. Second starter of grilled goats cheese - also huge portion and exceptional quality. We are not vegetarian, but had homemade sweet potato & spinach curry - delightful, and vegetarian lasagne - v good. This is a local pub, with local pub atmosphere, nothing pretentious (thank goodnesss), and a genuine warmth of welcome from landlady and all staff. Having previously visited 2 years ago, we are again impressed! Sensibly implemented Covid precautions. We were too full for desserts.More

Beautiful sunny bank holiday Monday. We had an early dinner as they were fully booked for the rest of the evening. Food was delicious, good value and fabulous quality. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Just spent a few days away in Suffolk and visited The Huntingfield Arms on our first evening. Covid restrictions meant a reduced capacity so the pub wasn't as "cosy" as on previous visits, but no matter, the service and food was excellent. We also had...the pleasure of the company of Clive the adorable British Blue,More

We stumbled across the Huntingfield Arms more by accident than design, but what a find! Lovely quiet location on the village green, in the centre of the village. We ate lunch and the food was outstanding, really well cooked and well presented and the portions...were very generous indeed. Good selection of choices and a children’s menu too, and although we were making use of the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme, it still would have been very reasonably priced even at full price. Would definitely eat here again.More

We were looking for somewhere to eat nearby while on holiday and were lucky to get a table here despite the Eat Out to Help Out causing everywhere to be full. The service was very friendly and the pub is cosy. The food was excellent!...Everyone enjoyed their meals (and desserts!) so much so we came back for food again before our holiday was over. Decent prices for excellent food.More
