Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for a one night expecting to find a takeaway somewhere. We were so delighted to find this fantastic tasty food with such friendly service. Such a pity we live too far away to go more often!

Ate here with my family in May. Wow! We all had a fantastic time and food was to die for. We were a family of five so decided to order the special for a group. I was afraid that we wouldn't have enough food but...took the risk. Omg there was so much food and each and every one of the dishes was delicious. Definitely go here and try it out. We are talking about going back regularly but haven't had chance yet. The atmosphere in the restaurant is authentic. Lovely wine choices plus staff were super friendly and efficient. See ye soon Casa Tapas.More

We (family of 5) were delighted to visit this beautiful quaint bar & restaurant in the fabulously scenic village of Grangecon. We’d heard nothing only good reports about this place in the past & it certainly didn’t disappoint. My hubby enjoyed a couple of “perfect...pints” of Guinness and we all devoured the absolutely devine tapas that were generous in size & beautifully presented. Lovely menu with great choice & reasonably priced in our opinion given the cost of eating out these days. We wanted everything on the menu. There was such a nice atmosphere here & the service was so friendly & prompt. It was the perfect place for a relaxed family meal on a Friday evening - it was that good that I am tempted to go back tomorrow ! - highly recommend & we cannot wait to come back here again.More

Casa Tapas is a great find in the beautiful village of Grangecon. It has a lovely authentic feel to it. Great choice of tapas and the food is excellent. Service is top class and they are so welcoming and friendly. It really is a hidden...gem. We had drinks in the adjoining pub which had a lovely old world feel and again a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait fur my next visit. Highly recommended.More

My husband and I went for tapas and we were absolutely delighted with the food the atmosphere and the staff. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was brilliant...very spanishy. We popped into the bar after for a drink which was very cosy...and traditional. Only complaint I'd have is restaurant chairs were not most comfy but I certainly wouldn't let that put me off a visit.More

What a wonderful surprise- most unlikely location for a Tapas bar- excellent selection, lovely Spanish vibe including background music. Lovely friendly traditional bar afterwards- definitely will be back here again soon.

I have been here a few times, but it had been about a year since my last visit. The food was always good, but they have much improved! The food was fantastic! I have often gone to a well known tapas restaurant in Carlow town,...but on this occasion the food in Casa tapas was as good as it! My friend and I had the pulled pork, patatas bravas, cod tacos, prawns, brie in filo pastry, amongst other delicious tapas! We didn't have dessert as were too full! I'll not wait so long to come back again!More

My wife and I decided to go here for a meal before our third child is born, which could happen and day now. So after getting out other two children to bed at a good time we checked there opening hours and seen they are...open until twelve. Arrived at the restaurant at 20:45, and told the kitchen closes at 2100. So disappointing, our last night out for awhile was ruined. Have eaten here before and enjoyed it, but sadly this experience has put me off going back. I am aware it's maybe not a big deal, but if your hours are due to change whenever you feel like it, you could at least have mentioned it in your "opening hours".More

We were on our way from Carlow to Dublin on a chilly February evening when we looked for something to eat and found we were not far from Casa Tapas. We arrived shortly after they opened at 5.30pm and though fully booked a table was...found. The food is very good and all freshly prepared to order - we enjoyed a number of really tasty dishes from calamari to Andalusian chicken. The proprietor is charming and informative and he and his wife have created a real gem here through hard work and vision. Highly recommended.More
