Dropped in for breakfast after staying in nearby Butterton. Free parking and a terrific breakfast, quickly delivered with great service. Not too expensive either.

This was a fortunate find on a Bank Holiday Saturday lunchtime at the end of May. The food and ambience were good and the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient.

Very interesting shop with lots of local produce. I can certainly recommend the Dovedale brewery beer!

Had lunch here whilst staying in the area and out cycling. Found a table outside. Queued for a good 20 mins waiting for people in front to order as one/one household at a time. We were in and out in 2 mins and food promptly...served table. Not sure if ordering process can be streamlined? There were also take outs going on. Went for an ice cream after lunch but queue was too long to wait so went to the ice cream van nearby instead. Could not get up the hill on the bike after lunch as was full!More

Ok...there’s a pandemic and queuing up in the freezing cold is the norm...we get it...but please if you’ve been busy..remove the specials board...queuing up a finally finding out the only thing you wanted is sold out is a real bummer..there’s A4 menu sheets all over...but when you’re in the front of along line of freezing people it’s all a bit confusing..and the staff weren’t particularly helpful...so...two overpriced sandwiches and a drink in the cold it was then...just do one menu board...limit it...people haven’t got time to read everything...that said we’ve been before and it was lovely...just not todayMore

Booked for halloween afternoon tea and was really really good value and tasty. The kids loved it too! Not the saying this but one of the best afternoon teas that I have ever had! Had to ask for a few things, like kore drinks and...sugar for our hot drinks but considering the current situation I will definitely be back!More

Popped in for lunch with my wife, clean and tidy environment with a small but flexible menu. Seem they do a small number of things but they do it well. Staff were attentive and service was quick. Prices about right for this type of establishment....Definitely recommend and will go back.More

Booked a table here for lunch for when we arrived at our cottage but due to accident on motorway were late but that didn't matter! Staff were very understanding & friendly. Varied menu with breakfasts, lunch & tea options. We both chose from the lunch...menu. I chose scotch egg which came with side salad and a "handful" of chips, my husband chose fish cakes with side salad and "handful" of chips. They were both delicious and we needed nothing else all day! Will definitely go backMore
