I ate here on Saturday evening with my wife to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The restaurant provides an intimate and warm atmosphere that makes you feel completely relaxed. The quality of the meal (we had starters, main and dessert) was of the highest standard....More

Service was superb. Owner was knowledgeable about the history of the buildings which was great. Expensive but you have to pay for superb food. The lychee cloud dessert was the best I've ever had.

All four of us had different meals and we loved them all, plus the price we paid for the 3 course set menu was good as was the service. We would definitely recommend people to try this restaurant and we will return ourselves to try...More

Excellent choice of food and good sized portions: Nice unobtrusive service and good to see that this restaurant is still keeping up its high standard

Went Here to celebrate my Wife's birthday with her parents and our Daughter. The food was amazing but not to the liking of a 10 year old so they went out of their way to make her a prawn cocktail and amazing fish and chips...More

Visited for Sunday lunch and seated upstairs by the friendly and charming (French?) waiter. The service was perfect throughout the meal but the meal itself was underwhelming. The Sunday lunch choices are dismal and archaic for vegetarians (my friend had a smattering of roasted vegetables...More

We visited Friends for lunch, I had the prawn cocktail this was refreshing and light. This was followed by the lamb, succulent and seasonal for my main dish. The service was faultless. I wish I had made room for dessert. I would return to try...More

I have visited Friends on two or three occasions now and have not been disappointed yet. The food is of an extremely high standard and the service is excellent. My only two perhaps slightly negative comments would be that although four warm, delicious, rolls are...More

Friends doesn't close at 9:00pm. That is the time for "last orders". They stay open well past then so you will have plenty of time to relax over your coffee & liqueurs! Enjoy!

We get a lot of comments about our portions being just right, but however, we realise that there are those who prefer slightly larger portions, and we are happy to oblige!
