We enjoyed the place, there was a lovely fire and kids running around. We had to wait a bit for the food but not too long. We had the chicken and salad and rice. The chicken was nice with a smoky flavour, the rice seemed a bit old and the salad was nothing special. The pizzas looked pretty good so... More

While the service is a little slow, it is well worth the wait as you know everything is cooked fresh and to order. We had the chicken menu and a pizza - both very tasty. The hilltribe families running this restaurant are wonderful, and you know that by eating here you are helping empower them by provide training in hospitality.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time at the Daauw Home restaurant. I see here some bad reviews, but I think people should consider the special status of this place before giving a low score. first of all, yes, it took long for our food to come. One because we arrived there at 4pm, when they were still cleaning... More

Saw another review with the same title and it's spot on! Terrible service, extremely long wait and bad food. How is this place rated so high??!!

We came here after seeing the reviews on the site. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The place is very nice and its for a great cause, but it can't be called a restaurant. We were the only guests there, and yet the food took 1.5 hours from the moment we ordered. Only one person was cooking while everyone... More

The food at Daauw home was very good, it did take a really long time to come out but that is Laos for you everything takes a long time. Keeping the cats away from your food is probably something they could work on but overall a very good experience and for a good cause good family atmosphere.

Great place, good atmosphere and excellent menu. All food is prepared fresh so you might have to wait a little while. It is worth it though!

The food here is good, but the real reason to eat here is to support a great local organisation that is helping single mothers.

We had heard good reviews and wanted to find out more about the work they are doing with underprivileged women in Laos. We loved the food, especially the pizza but were even more impressed with the project. Women in Laos seem to have a hard life in normal circumstances but if they are single mums or find themselves thrown out... More

We went to this restaurant through the reviews from tripadvisor. We came inside the restaurant and saw a wooden fireoven, kids playing happily around and nice house with a view over the city. Recommended place to understand better the country Laos.
