Very friendly staff in a tiny old house. Good soup, sandwiches and scones. Can get busy with small children but there are 2 floors.

Popped in en route to Porthmadog mid afternoon. Extremely welcoming staff, quirky decor and most importantly delicious cakes. We had the marmalade cake and carrot cake both were moist and full of flavour. Loved the vintage feel lots of things to reminisce over.

We've been to Bishop's Castle many times and have always found the standard of café food very under whelming. Not any more, Thyme shone out as a beacon of simple excellence. Looks can be deceptive as this was the case, what looked a little subdued...More

Called in here on the off chance and the welcome was warm and genuine. Food was great, staff were friendly. Reminded me of a seaside cafe and when I saw the bathroom it was all themed beautifully highly recommend the food as well

Visited here half way round our circuit! I had soup and cheese scone - delicious. My husband had a moo steak pie and proclaimed it was the best pie he has ever eaten! It’s a quaint little building and the staff are friendly and welcoming!

Visited today after a long hard stomp up the Stiperstones. We were so ready for some lovely home cooked food, and we were not disappointed! Delicious herb scone with cheese, bacon, potato wedges and salad and chutney for me, and sausage and onion marmalade baked...More

A small, cosy little café. Very friendly staff producing real home made food, the experience is genuinely like visiting someone's home. For a real treat ask for the cheese and herb scones!

All the food sounds lovely and , as a vegetarian,it is good to see and taste more imaginative veggie options ,than the norm. The menu changes, regularly, maybe even daily and the cakes and puds are delish. Great teas and coffees ,too. Lovely family atmosphere and Josie,...More
