The surroundings are beautiful near a lake. Cafe with good cakes and warm lunch. Nice and friendly staff.

A very nice place for a coffee and food during outdoor activities. A good selection from the bakery and also a good selection of food. nice atmosphere. quite busy buffet lurch.

Local restaurant has limited dishes in the buffet but with very good quality. Clean and friendly. The soup and salmon was fantastic. It has a small shop inside as well.

Money / value ratio is very good when you are having lunch. There was no other guests during our visit, but food was plenty and it was good. Tomato soup had some flavours from canned tomato-pure, but not too much. Rice was pretty dry as...it had been staying there for a while. Nothing to ruin the experience. Fresh bread and big salad table is not usual in Finland. Neither is strawberry cake for dessert. Place is probably even nicer during the summer, but you should check it out during the winter too. Vanhankylän kartano is an old house with nice decoration offering 'food' to the body and soul. Food is excellent and staff very helpful. The place is situated by the beautiful lake Tuusulanjärvi. Worth of visiting.

The Kartano is next to to the lake and you can order food from the menu, a buffet lunch or cakes/sandwiches from the cafe section. The prices are reasonable and the chocolate cake I had was delicious and moderately priced. The place makes a great...stop when cycling around the lake and the best cafe I know on that circuit. Compared to most cafes in Finland the food was much better and not over priced. The atmosphere in the kartano was also really nice, you could also sit outside to enjoy your food. All in all worth a trip on it's own (something I can't say about most cafes outside Helsinki or the major tourist areas like Porvoo and Fiskars).More

Nice place for a cup of coffee and a stroll. Unfortunately there is a octoberfest tent in the yard. Wells i am driving so beer is out of question.

I went there with my friends to spend a nice afternoon. The place has a nice and quiet location near Tuusulanjärvi's lake. It was a sunny day and we enjoyed the terrace. We took coffees and cakes which were delicious. The service was excellent and...staff very helpful. Inside was very clean as well as the toilets ;) It's a place I recommend and next time I will go for a lunch or dinner.More

At a very reasonable price you may here taste everyday Finnish food. From two rooms there is a view to the lake. In addition in the wintertime you may hire skiis for a cross country hike on the ice. A place for simple pleasures.
