The food is actually hand made and not pre-made like in most other places in Järvenpää. And you can taste it. Fresh produce & good cooks. Can't go wrong here.

Tasty asian spiced portions. I had Summer bowl w. pork. Huge bowl. Well worth the 18€. Wife ate fish of the day with new potatoes. Tasty. Daughter had an meat plate. Surprised by the chili effect and the potion size. Very nice service as well....Recommended.More

We had butter lamb on a weekday evening. The lamb itself was ok, ( a very large portion), but the butter-tomato gravy was too heavy and tasted old-fashioned and lacked all freshness. The ”naan” bread was good and the salad on it very refreshing making...a big contrast to the lamb. The service was efficient and neutral. The dinner was a disappointment and we both woke up in the night having terrible heartburn!More

Had a meeting here in a nice private cabinet which was very convenient. Lunch was OK, except for the beef, the quality of the meat was not the best possible. Nice surroundings though.

Eat here with friends. I had the lamb which was supposed to be from the area but people who live there have never seen any sheep there. Maybe that’s why it was tough and chewy. The accompanying porridge was also somewhat off putting. My friend...had the steak and that seemed to be great. For dessert I had the coffee cake which was good. Expensive as just two courses for 3 people came to 110€.More

Been going here regularly every time I am in Järvenpää, especially for lunch. The lunch steaks are always very tasty and juicy. Never disappointed. Probably one of the best steaks I have had in Finland.

Ate Sunday lunch there with a group of adults and teenagers. We all ate burgers, beef, chicken and veggie. Everyone was happy with their food. Veggie burger was very good, tasty with grilled vegetables too. The service was fast, friendly and efficient.

We have heard a lot of very good comments about Huvila that's the reason why we decided to have our dinner. When we arrived we were a bit surprised to see how dirty was the floor, even the chairs were we sat. I removed myself...the dirt and old food which was on mine. Did they just have a big group of people and didn't have time to clean or did they clean only once a day? Anyway it didn't give a good first picture. We arrived quite early and there were only 4 tables already occupied. After ordering it took a very long time to get our starters. I don't want to imagine how long we would have to wait if the restaurant would be full as it's normally according to what we have heard. For the starters we took the codfish (Turska). The fish and the sauce were excellent. What looked like scramble eggs were very salty. For the main dishes we took "The Steak" and the vegetable tacos. The tacos were fine, lots of vegetables as you could expect. The steak was chewy. The sauce and the oven potato were good and the rest of the vegetable was a bit over cooked, I didn't eat them. Then came the desserts. The beetroot and white chocolate cake with the homemade blueberry ice cream and the orange chocolate creme brulée were just amazing. Very delicious. The starters and desserts were very good but for the main dishes, we were quite disappointed. And for more than 100€ the dinner, we were expecting better. And at last we were surprised that after paying at the table and walking to the exit, none of the waitresses or waiter thank us or even said good bye. We walked in front of them, said good bye, they didn't even replied, talking to each other like we were invisible. For cheaper we have had better main courses and especially a better service.More

Great value of price-quality. It was pretty full during lunch time but the service was fast. As well the quality of the food was great! Easy & tasty 😋 always a good option!

Huvila is nice old country villa with absolutely nice sorroundings beside lake Tuusulanjärvi situated only 3 kilometres from Järvenpää city. Very nice separate terrace beside the lake. Very good service and a pleasent place to dine. Reasonble prices and tasteful food. Suggestable to try.

They take it a bit too easy, the basics of a restaurant are getting forgotten, we won't go there anymore. We came with my husband to eat lunch at 1.00pm. The terrace was empty as rain was announced. We saw first a waitress on the...terrace but she did not greet us, the waiter did not noticed either when we were in even if we stand just in front of him. The restaurant was not full, only 5 tables were busy. The music plays in background was bar music. I like there the idea of the lunch option, small buffet salad and main course. We took pasta and white fish. The starter was ok, the bread is good but we waited more than 30min the main courses. The pasta were tepid and the fish portion was small. It was not as tasty as before. Sorry guys you take it too cool, you could easily fix it if you wantMore
