Two of us went for dinner. The starter cheese and meat platter was tasty and varied. The lamb chops were good quality and the meat ravioli went down well. We had tiramisu and the chocolate tart. All the meals were of good quality and tasty.

Fantastic service and good food. The prices were surprisingly reasonable comared to other restaurants in the area which do not offer nor the same service level or food. Very comfortable athmosphere and competent and friendly staff.
This restaurant is worth a visit.

Our group of 9 were looked after very, very well. Booking recommended as always busy. All of our meals were lovely and the atmosphere was wonderful… when all other customers had left we ended up dancing to some great anthems the wonderful staff joining in! What a fab night! Lovely holiday memories.

fantastic place with great servis and food. lovely atmosphere . We were there twice, I recommend the cheese in the form of raclette.
There are few dishes to choose from, but everything is delicious!!!
very good wines, wide selection.
The atmosphere and decor are fantastic, the service is very nice (we gave a good tip, which was accepted with gratitude and a nice smile ;))

We ordered 6 beef, and we got 6 cheese fondu, we thought it was part of the beef and after we ate 2 of the 6, we were told it wasn’t a prt of the dish and the beef isnt coming, we wanted to cancel the other 4 cheeses and weren’t allowed, the waiter was very rude and not nice and the service was terrible, would not recommend!

I was disappointing, we were waiting one hour for water and after that another half an hour for wine. Starter came after dinner- so it’s not my recommendation- I would say if you have a time - in about 2 hours for dinner you can take it! But I will not recommend to anyone who like god and quick service

There is not enough stars for the rating - this is one of the most UNIQUE restaurants in the world for me - in my top 3 worldwide.
I really don't know what to start with ;)
With my husband we come to Aosta for a number of years for mountain climbing - we stay in Valtournenche every year, too.
We eat only in Coq Rouge, the place has such magic, such great vibe, such marvellous food, such unique vines of choice, a highly talented cook and such elegant service - that I just cannot say how happy we are we found this place.
This is such a special place for me and my husband - it is so amazing - that we bring our friends for dinner (and our friends sometimes travel from EU or even USA to join us in trekking - and for dinner we come only here);
We kind of all feel like ‘Alice in wonderland’: you enter and you just are so beautifully lost there: you follow the smell, the taste, the music (= jazz, old classics) the Owner (Charlotte - wow :)) and her sister (thanks!) and the master chef the kitchen… that we just can't stop thanking when we leave.
Go there, experience the magic, enjoy the aura and..be grateful – the restaurant is fulled with passion and this is so unique I the world these days.
PS. If you are there give the people the time to prepare the food – this is an experience not a fast food.
All the menu: meat, pastas, meat on stone, soups, the desserts - gosh. I think that over the years we actually tried almost everything.
We will be coming here for more years to come; and our friends will too, and the friend of the friends I am certain will come as well

This restaurant was the closest to to the hotel we stayed at. Nice rustic interior. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Nice variety of dishes and wines. Excellent service. Excellent food. Great!

The service, food and decor were excellent. Our choice of meal was a trio of meats, (beef, duck, and turkey), cooked by ourselves on a hotplate at our table, and accompanied by a tray of sauces. Included was a dish of potato cooked in a creamy cheese sauce. To finish we shared a dish of fresh berries and home made ice cream. The portions were impressive as was the quality.

We were staying at "L'ancien paquier". I went with my wife and son one night. The food came in fast, it was warm and delicious. I ordered the 1/2 litre house wine and we also shared 2 sweets, the price was 72 euros.
For american standards this is cheap and a true value.

I rarely fall into a tourist trap and especially in Italy. Frankly, Italy has a lot to offer and the country rarely fail in expensive establishment, where traditional kitchen is offered. This time, we got completely trapped - 40 - 50 min waiting ( we’ve finished a bottle of wine straight without any food). Kids were extremely brave an kept waiting and also finishing their bottle of water. Other food arrived 20 minutes after those first 50 min and after fromaggio fuso! Agnolini have arrived stuffed with cold cheese. Ok, they warmed it again, at least. Pasta with truffles flakes arrived completely off the flakes. Other Kid’s pasta was served without pecorino! Charge 86 Eur after 11 eur discount. The owners completely disrespect people who came there for vacation. They just don’t care about you. Just avoid it. They are able to serve cold cuts and this is all what barely correspond to their pricing tag. I spent my time writing all off that since we felt offended and robbed of our money, good time and family dining out.
