my partner and i visit this restaurant on a fairly frequent basis for Sunday lunch. Therefore you would expect us to enjoy the place. This is not fine dining, its far better than that. What you get is food that mum cooked. On this occasion we each had beef roast followed by a roulade and jam scone. Home cooking and it was very good.It was... More

We only stopped for tea so can't do much wrong with that. Views are stunning and I imagine it would be fantastic on a sunny day sitting outside. Spotted the cat curled up on a chair by one of the tables. This made me smile but on reflection I do wonder about the hygene aspect of having a cat arpund... More

A quick review on this place really, only stopped for a quick bite to eat for breakfast. Toast and coffee, not a lot can go wrong really, coffee was good, toast was more like warm bread. We have been here before for lunch and it was much better, the coffee shop serves good homemade food.

Out for a quick gardening fix and watching the donkeys in the paddock. A good cup of tea and a massive portion of Strawberry Pavlova that was shared between the two of us. Make for this rather than the MacScruffs down the road to keep this wonderful cafe. Serves during shop opening times. Jacket potatoes are plate fillers accompanied with... More

A very good display of plants, herbs, and shrubs. But we were very disappointed with the cafe. After buying some plants and shrubs, my elderly mother in law wanted a hot chocolate in the cafe. We ordered and waited 20 minutes before we received 2 hot chocolates that were too sweet to drink. It seemed as though a sugar bowl... More

Over priced very average sandwich from a very rude middle aged lady who obviously hates her job and never smiled ( not once). The sandwich took 30 minutes to arrive and my coffee was just awful. Definitely not a cappuccino. No apology for the wait and I had to hunt my own spoon down. Please save your money and go... More

This is a great garden centre with a wide range to choose from. Although I do think prices are a little steep. Also on site is a little cafe

This establishment gets so busy that you need to beat the rush, I.e get there for when it opens. However I would still expect a queue. We called in one lunch time as we heard how good it was and had to sit outside as all the inside seating was taken!! We didn't mind though as the food was delicious... More

Hidden away at the side of a fast downhill main road, this place truely is a Secret Garden. It is however worth the effort of looking out for it. It does a large selection of plants in addition to the restaurant. The restaurant is quite a large area having both inside and an outside undercover area in which to eat... More
