A quick trip advisor search brought this place to our attention. Food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff were great.

I just wanted to add a review to encourage anyone in the area to consider paying The Poplars a visit. It is not huge so consider booking a table which we did even on a Wednesday. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual which just makes...More

Characterful old-fashioned decor. Friendly staff. Tasty, well-presented food. The roast pork and Baileys creme brulee were delicious! Atmosphere was on the quiet side, but we found this relaxing. Overall, lovely place to spend an evening.

Excellent! Many tempting choices on the menu. Well presented tasty food, a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Very friendly, attentive service.

Too expensive for what it is ! £8+ for basic jacket potatoes. No thanks, much better value eateries nearby.

Had a great meal, excellent starter, great mains and fabulous home made puds. Wine selection pretty good and at fair prices. Meat is obviously sourced from a very good butcher. Service is excellent – prompt, friendly and cheerful.

Popped in without a booking on Sunday. Managed to get the last table available. We both had baked Camembert to start followed by the roast lamb. Not cheap but I must say it was the best lamb I had ever tasted. Will definitely go back...More
