Booked in advanced for a special anniversary meal and was excited to see you could request a window... Didn't expect that we'd get the back upstairs window next to the drain pipe having booked 4 weeks before - obviously some people were quicker! However that aside the food was beautifully fresh and the service was the best we've had in... More

Hi there Really sorry about the mix up with the tables we do try to give everyone what they want seems the team missed this somehow. On the note about the Parmesan it is a vegetarian friendly variety hope that p[uts your mind at ease. Hope to see you again soon. Kind regards Ben More

Awkward arrival as people who arrived before us had choice to sit upstairs or down. They went up and came back down stating upstairs was busy and were shown to a table in a corner. We were then told we had to sit upstairs which made us feel 2nd best. However, we were very happy upstairs. The atmosphere was good... More

We visited Marazion to visit St Michaels Mount, but that's closed on Saturdays, D'oh. We checked out the menu's of all the eateries in town, Ben's was the first we looked at and after comparing all the option we decided to return there to eat. A set one, two or three course meal is offered. I had pan roasted cod... More

Visited for an evening meal on the night the Beacon was lit on St. Michael''s Mount for the Queen''s birthday which we saw from our window table upstairs. This was memorable in its own right but the food was equally exciting - beautifully presented, very imaginative and served by friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff . We can thoroughly recommend this... More

We ate here on a Tuesday evening in April and the restaurant was fully booked and turning people away. Marazion was otherwise fairly quiet - this says much about how good Ben's is. All three of us had the Hake on Saffron Risotto with Asparagus. The fish was cooked to perfection and every part of the meal was full of... More

Excellent value quality food beautifully served. Shopping in Penance so booked this place for lunch. Marazion is a busy tourist town and note the restaurant closes at 1.30pm - many would be dinners were turned away so best to book. Service was a solo performance but nevertheless very good. My only tiny gripe that we were required to pay extra... More

This little place presses all the right buttons. It is small, cosy, unpretentious. The menu is short and reflects what is available fresh locally. The dishes are carefully presented, different and very appetising. We had cod cheeks with fresh pea purée for starters and monkfish fillets served on saffron risotto with fresh asparagus. Chocolate and nut pave with toffee sauce... More

We always have excellent meals at Ben's but last Saturday was possibly my favourite of all. Hake on saffron risotto with asparagus followed by a buttermilk pannacotta with rhubarb and orange strands. Simply superb. In our opinion Ben is the chef with the biggest talent (and the smallest ego) in the country. We will be back soon.
