Paakari in Kangasala has a nice restaurant, but also a cafe in the same building. The cafe opens at 8 in the mornings and is a popular place for breakfast with sandwitches, carelian pies and sweet temptations.
The cafe is old and could perhaps be a bit updated, but the atmosphere is cosy and lovely. This time I visited the cafe and was happy with my visit. There is a small parking lot for visitors next to the building.

Absolutely a waste of money! What they offer there isn't worth of paying 52 EURO per person. Not the most friendly service. For instance, I was told that I must go "clock wise" around the table to get food. Not a relaxed atmosphere. Our children took few candies, and employees of the restaurant looked at them unfriendly.

Food is expensive as the norm.. this place has buffet menus on special holidays. The pastries were great! Opening hours weren't great..

Located in countryside, 25 min from Tampere, this special restaurant is built into old historical factory / facilities, at centrum of small village, Kangasala. Name famous of one national song, "summer day at Kangasala". Beautiful place beside a lake area. This family owned restaurant is co-operating with bakery / shop at first floor, and restaurant itself at top, second floor, where you can also drive / assisted if any needs for wheelchair etc. The best is enjoyable food, I would say like gourmet. From traditional, daily basis to international choices. Delicious taste with warm excellent service. Can be recommended.

This, if anything, is a hidden diamond in the heart of Finland. Not a place you stumble upon, but I would say it is worth a small detour. We had lunch here and it was fantastic. I put this place in the top 10 in Finland, maybe even top 5. Simple, friendly, not expensive and superb food.

This hidden gem found in the outskirts of Tampere region is truly worth a visit!
The menu consists of ingredients from the region superbly cooked to perfection.
The menu is simple yet brilliant.
This restaurant is run by a couple that clearly has a passion for cooking. The service is excellent and swift.
The restaurant had a good selection of wines and you can buy most of the wine by the glass.
A 3 course meal costs only 45€, which is a reasonable price for this kind of meal.
Please be sure to check for opening hours, and book in advance.

Carefully prepared dishes from fairly limited yet comprehensive (covers meat, fish and vegetarian diet) menu, served with home-baked bread. Nice backyard garden to enjoy a sunny day. Lunch prices above average though quality answers expectations.

Menu with 3 sessions was Great! Starting like Caesar salad with local fish=》 super. Main food I take peura (local little moose) and after something which name
I forget, but as everything else that was exellent. Everything was perfect with exellent wines which were made by small producers. Service was professorille with cosy atmosfire. ☆☆☆☆☆

Everything is excellent and tasty. Special wines with resonable price fitting well with various meals. Daily variable local fish and meat are served. Please check the opening hours, because not open every evening.
