After a long and stressful drive, we were not encouraged by our arrival to the agriturismo. It sits next to the highway and below a housing development. Our hearts sank. However, it was clean and surprisingly quiet and a very decent place to stay for...two nights. Its proximity to Valley of the Temples is excellent. They were very good communicators before our arrival, as well. We ate dinner there one evening and, although the service was a bit Faulty Towers, our meal was very good. The common outdoor seating area is very nice. Our room was spotless and large. Everything worked. Breakfast was very good. Be aware that breakfasts in Italy are very heavy on cakes and other sweets. No complaints.More
The hotel is clean and has beautiful grounds. The staff has various fluency in English, but we were able to communicate well enough. The food at this agriturismo was affordable and excellent, which is a good thing because there's not much else around. Unlike other...agritourismo, this one is not really in an agricultural area, but near a town that's a bit depressed and a big highway. Maybe we came at the wrong time (end of March) but there's not much agriculture anywhere. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay though.More
A great hotel for an overnight as it’s located just off a main road. Wonderful homemade Sicilian food with delicious cakes at breakfast. Good sized room with wonderful bathroom. Very friendly staff - you can travel to the near by ruins from here.
The service is wonderful and the food is just as good. the roasted potatoes, the steak, the lamb, and all of the pastas are fabulous. The 10 of us traveling together single stayed at this bed-and-breakfast and enjoyed the food. Beautiful place in Agrigento!!
This is my second visit to the magical place near Agrigento - a converted barn with B&b facility and gorgeous gorgeous food, true to Sicilian style. The tables were set in the large space outside and there was a buzz every night as guests and...hosts came for supper and mingled all evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable and all the staff go out of their way to help- even brought me an iron to smooth out my special dress.More
A conveniently located agri turismo serving excellent dinners with excellent home-made wines. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and were cleaned every day. Stefano our waiter saw to our needs with a passion and great charm and genuine friendliness..
Fresh, tasty and abundant food served in a lovely setting (outdoor or indoor option) with music in the background. Stefano, our waiter, was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay ensuring that we would taste all the genuine array of food and wines/ liquors, and...end our trip with happy stomachs. It is set in an ideal location to visit the Temples of Agrigento, Scala dei Turchi, Agrigento old town, and San Leone promenade. Impeccably clean place. We were also well pleased with all the precautions taken in light of the COVID-19 situation.More
Upon arrival you really don't know what is around the corner as you ascend off the beaten path. Coming into view is a beautiful villa. Very hospitable host and staff. Breakfast was nice with a large selection to choose from. Dinner was excellent with a...nice local wine selection.More
Briganti is a wonderful place to stay in you are planning to tour Agrigento, especially the Valley of the Temples! It is immaculately clean and well cared for; our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We ever had a little balcony! The main...outside terrace with table for breakfast and for casual drinks is really lovely, canopied and charming. Dinner was available here and I suggest you stay for dinner. The food was good and after a long day of touring, no need to drive around, find parking and trek for restaurant when you could relax at Briganti and have a well prepared meal at a reasonable price. I found everyone helpful, the place an oasis and the prices very reasonable. The breakfast buffet was enormous by any standard. I highly recommend it.More
My husband and I drove here straight from Palermo airport, it was relatively easy to find with google maps on our phone. We drove up the steep track in our hire car and really didnt know what to expect. We got out the car to...peaceful surroundings. Checking in was easygoing and the staff member showed us to our room, the door was a bit tricky to open but we learned over the weeks stay in Sicily that the door locks can be a bit tricky untill you get the hang of it. We didnt fancy driving anymore to find dinner or drinks and we had already booked in for dinner later that evening so we asked the same staff member if we could have a couple of glasses of wine. He brought us the wine and some nibbles and we sat on the terrace and soaked up the sun, it was a great start to the holiday. We ate in the restaurant that evening i had grilled tuna which was delicious! we tried an antipasti of local cheeses and shared the sicilian cake, it was probably the best meal we had all week and it was so reasonably priced! We both slept very well and you couldn't hear a sound! We had room 12 and it had 1 double and 1 single. The decor is very rustic in the room but it was clean and compfy with a lovely balcony on the front. Make sure you take mosquito spray as we both were bitten but that was really the only negative. Main points were: Quiet, comfy bed, the place smelt great!, the best americano coffee, Simple but delicious breakfast.More
Tutto lo staff vi ringrazia per aver scelto il nostro Agriturismo.
We originally booked 2 rooms here through Expedia but had to later cancel. I cancelled my itinerary (both rooms) through Expedia. For some reason, Expedia's software only cancelled 1 room despite Expedia emailing me that my entire itinerary was cancelled. However, apparently it did not...cancel 1 room at the Agriturismo and Expedia communicated to Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti that I still had a reservation for 1 room. I found out about this after the date passed of the cancelled reservation. Despite Expedia's failure, Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti did the professional and courteous thing and refunded me directly the amount charged by Expedia. If I ever visit Agrigento I would stay here due to their doing the right and honest thing. Good people who I hope to meet one day. Thanks again Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti!More
Grazie a te , speriamo di averti nostro ospite.
We stayed two nights and found the room very clean and just right for our family. We all enjoyed the breakfast, the best part was the evening meal. The grilled tuna was good, fresh made pasta was scrumptious. The white wine was crisp and delicious....Our favorite was the minestrone, my son wanted to go there for lunch too to have the minestrone:).delicious organic food. It is tucked away up an unpaved road but very close and convenient to the valley of temples so you can view them at many different parts of the day if you wish- at golden hour just before sunset or at night as the moon is rising behind them-very picturesque!More
That emotion has given me Has been a honor to host your beautiful family Best regards
I chose this agriturismo for our group of four couples for our first two night in Sicily. When we arrived it had rained all day and the road leading up to the facility was a bit of a challenge. I remember reading another review that...commented on the unpaved, steep road into the agriturismo. Despite the conditions we made it safely and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and especially the restaurant. Since we arrived late we decided to just spend the evening there for dinner. As is typical in Italy the restaurant did not open until 7:30 but we were invited to a table in the reception are where we were able to enjoy a couple of bottles of wine and some snack prior to dinner. Despite the proximity to Agrigento it is a bit hard to find but google maps made it possible. Would definitely stay there again.More
This Agriturismo is off the beaten path and that’s part of the adventure. We had a lovely room with all the amenities. Right from our arrival, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner in their dining room. The food was excellent. It was...chef-style and a change from so many of the local restaurants. Every course was wonderful. Certainly can’t beat the convenience. Excellent location to visit Valle dei Templii and spend a relaxing eve afterwards. Owner also directed us to Scala dei Turchi nearby.More
