The best restaurant on Taganana Beach in price, service and quality. It is run by a family that has been living there all their lives and they couldn't have been nicer to us. The mojó picón here is homemade, possibly one of the best you can have in Tenerife, accompanied by some good wrinkled potatoes. I recommend ordering the steak with potatoes, the grilled cheese, the meat in sauce, and the fried octopus. For dessert, the homemade cheesecake and cookie cake, also homemade, were very good. The cafes and bars are more of the same. Everything they do here is very homemade, like the old Guachinches. You don't need to reserve, you go and sign up for a list and you just have to wait for your turn to sit at a table. We served each of the 6 diners at 11.3 euros per head. Very good price considering that drinks such as Coca-Cola were large and cost 1.80 euros. I totally recommend it. If I return to Tenerife, I will return here without hesitation.

A simple restaurant, without large decorations facing the beach of Roque de las Bodegas with a menu not extensive but in which the gastronomic satisfaction of the diners is ensured. Whenever we have come to Tenerife we have tried to eat at Casa Africa even if we were staying at the other end of the island and this restaurant is a classic in which its gastronomic music always sounds good. This was our choice: Fried octopus (14.00 euros), you have to have a loaf of bread on hand to give a good account of each piece of tentacle and herd the dish with the crumb to return it clean to kitchen. A dish that deserves applause from the cook. Fried fish of the day (20.00 euros/kg.), had donkey, sama and emperor, we chose the latter and enjoyed every bite. Crumpled potatoes (5.00 euros) essential to accompany the fish with a mojo, delicious. Small house salad (6.50 euros), a symphony of colors and flavors provided by its many tropical fruits. Beer jug (2.80 euros). 1.5 liter bottle of mineral water (1.80 euros). The waiter was absolutely professional and charming.

Recommended by the owner of the rented apartment, I must say that it exceeded expectations in terms of the quality of the octopus served in both proposed solutions. My wife who often opts for octopus, in addition to cooking it, confirms that she had never eaten it so tender. Not to be missed in case of passage in the area and we had no physical problem. Typical restaurant

The title alludes to explain what is baked in this Restaurant, given the enormous success of influx that usually has, so that people think about it a lot. Safe from the opinions I will now express about the food are the waitresses, very competent and friendly; as well as the location, walk to a beach in a spectacular place). The menu is very small and one is expected to master the few dishes they offer. Nothing further from reality! The salad, while carrying some fruits, has celery and canister carrot; like potato chips, which are frozen. In the case of crumpled potatoes, several crumbled when pricked and some were supersalted, symptomatic of their little care in cooking. Better not to ask for them because what they call "homemade mojo" is a shame: a kind of oily liquid with a bottom difficult to describe, indeterminate, with a lot of garlic (which repeats a horror). As a main course we were offered fried "sama". We ordered it and it was quite a small fish, which cost 15 euros, dry and somewhat strong flavor. Not recommended and is the tonic we saw at other tables. The homemade desserts are good but the portion of cheesecake is very small and worth almost 5 euros: a real scam. Conclusion: for 20 euros per person we leave not full and with the body to disgust. You see (as there is a lot of criticism lately in these terms...

With the sound of the sea and the view of the waves breaking on the shore we had a lovely meal on the terrace of Casa Africa. And that after a beautiful hike and long drive through the mountains. Delicious homemade aioli and herbal oil with the bread. The salad was crispy fresh with a surprising amount of fresh fruit in it. My husband liked the fresh tuna in sauce, the fried squid was delicious. The service was friendly and compliment, there was a small mistake on our invoice from another table and before we had noticed it was already corrected. Recommended!

We arrived at Roque de las Bodegas without knowing where to go, but we saw that the bar was called Casa Africa, and without hesitation we decided to eat there because our daughter's name is that. It was a complete success. We were served by Africa, a charming lady, and then by other workers there, each one more kind and friendly. We were looking for a local bar, close by, where food was paramount and not appearance, and that's what it was. The super homemade aioli is spectacular, like everything we order and at a great price. We ate as a family of 4 (2 adults and two little girls) for €37. They have some mangoes 🥭 my goodness, they make no sense. Thank you for the treatment, I hope we can return one day. Signed: The mother and father of little Africa (Seville).

Very busy place, especially at the weekend. Very friendly staff. Their lack of English and our limited Spanish didn’t stop us from enjoying delicious food. The fried octopus was amazing! We also had the fish churros and tortilla. All very nice. The cheesecake was superb too. Half a litre of wine and 2 coffees on top of that and the bill was around €50. Recommended.

Wild sea, simple cuisine, fresh fish. For those looking for fake perfection, head south, here the cuisine is authentic fresh the excellent raw material. The space fruit and vegetable salad! The staff was friendly and helpful. What more do you want on holiday?!?!?

The food was pretty good and the price pretty cheap for how well we ate. The only complaint is that we took 15 min to order a table and then 45 min to get called But good service Recommended

heard a lot and decided to try. not impressed at all. now in more detail. It is located in a good location on the shore.. we ordered octopus with red pepper, canarian potatoes and fried fish, as well as mussels. the biggest disappointment was the octopus, it was not very soft. the fish is very dry. maybe we were unlucky, there are a lot of people there on Sunday.. I would not advise with friends did not come. There are many good and tasty places in the vicinity

Visited here on a Bus Trip. The Guide on the coach said the Potatoes were the best ever (better than steak, caviar etc and the fish was outstanding). HOW WRONG THEY WERE. The potatoes were small over boiled in their skins. I have had Tenerife Potatoes before but these were the worst ever. Dried up and leathery The fish must have died several weeks before. No flesh and dry. As you can see from the photo it was served with no garnish or side dish. The venue is just a bare bones shack. There is no style. The staff are slow serving due to other bus trips pre ordering the food. Although I didn't have the salad I did see it on another table and it did look nice. But included strawberries and garlic? But that's all I can say Expect to be disappointed and underwhelmed

Traditional spanish restaurant without any posh interieur etc. Here the focus is on the food and this is excellent. When you are so close by the sea you have to try the fish of the day or the other specialities from the daily menu. The service was super friendly and the view to the ocean is the cherry on the cake. During the weekend it can be very full from 1-4pm.

Basic restaurant, with the ocean view and easy access to the beach. Very popular among people visiting Taganana. There are infact not many option for dining in this area, so this spot is popular and always busy. The waiter service was friendly and prices moderate. The food rather average.

Bad food of dubious quality. Drowned everything in gallons of oil and garlic. Even the chips were soft and uncooked. We went in 6 and 5 were all stomachaches for a whole day. (One ate only cheese)

Popular tour restaurant offering great value. Menu del dia just 12 Euros which included a memorable garlic oil dip for the local potatoes! The chilled rose hit the spot. Thank you Casa Africa!
