Mathildan Marina is located in the southwestern archipelago of Finland, in the Mathildedal Ironworks Village, right next to Teijo National park. Mathildan Marina features a harbour with 300 berths, a six-room hotel, a restaurant with a large sun terrace, a sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi for private reservations, a souvenir shop, caravan park for 12 cars and an outdoor gym and a beach volleyball court. HARBOUR - Services include: fuel dispenser (diesel and 98), a boat septic tank, electricity, drinking water, waste disposal, toilets and showers. HOTEL - Small, tranquil and modern. Had fish and chips that cost over 20€ per dish and had nothing to do with fish and chips. The dish had some (presumably Norwegian) salmon with no crust and overcooked potatoes and some mayo straight from a bottle. No spices, no veggies, not even enough salt. I expected more ar this price and this close to sea.
Three stars because the terrace is nice and service friendly and quick.

Hi Satu! Thank you for your feedback! Our fish&chips really has nothing to do with the original one - and it is said straight in the menu. Freshly fried salmon, cooked and frittered summer potatoes (many people like the way the are made, some people just don't), parmesan and mayo with lime (proudly self-made in our kitchen) - that's Marina's twist. The portion has become one of the most popular ones this summer. We are sad to hear that it wasn't your kind of food.
Thanks for the three stars - we really love to work with our customers. Welcome again! Maybe next time we succeed to convince you totally. ;)

Fantastic location by the harbour. We were three adults with a dog at the terrace. The menu is very limited, I took salmon, very good portion, but I would have wanted more potatoes. More colours added into the dishes could be a hit. Quite good wine list.

Solid 4 stars based solely on the burger and beer and the location. We should have probably ordered something else than the burger, as it was very basic (big though) but the other portions looked way better. Location is really nice near the water and service was quick and friendly.

Place looks good and the menu was interesting. First disappointment was the lack of perch they had in the menu. Instead they offered less tasty pike-perch with the same price. It took almost 1 h to get the dishes. Most of the people came after us got food before us. The final disappointment was my lambkin which was well overcooked. The cold creme fraiche onion sauce with lamb meat was also weird. No idea why they served this, almost tasteless sauce with lamb.

Thanks for the feedback. We try to keep our menu simple and delicious by using local and domestic raw materials. Sometimes it happens that some dishes are so popular that foodstuff runs out or the supplier is not able to deliver the wanted amount.
Summertime is the high-season in our village and in the harbour of Mathildedal where we are located. That's why it might happen so that our clients have to wait a bit before they get their orders. Hopefully our waiter had a chat with you about the prolonged timetable and hopefully you had a chat with our waiter about the lambkin.
The cold creme fraiche sauce seemed to suit most of our clients' sense of taste last summer. Next summer we will have a new menu - welcome to taste it!

We had lunch with my son, chicken nuggets with fries (large) for him and chicken ceasar salad for me. Nuggets were ok but the salad was a big disappointment, did not qualify as a main course, it was more of a starter as for size and very basic mix of lettuce, chicken and a few onion rings and parmesan chips topped with only 4 croutons... Both dishes were overpriced (~20€ each). Choose a burger If you want best value for your money.

The food was good and made from fresh quality ingredients. The service was nice enough. Prices were reasonable and the view from the marina was lovely. All in all the place surprised us positively and we actually ate here twice during our three-night stay in Mathildedal.

It was a beatiful sunny day in July when we ate there. We ate steaks with new potates and the portion was just great, very good and tasty.

Wifey had a grillstake and me burger. Burger was great, nothing to complain about. The stake was not that good. It was a but chewey, not that easy to eat. Drinks, view and the athmospere brilliant as allways.

Hello and thanks, our burger really is the best - has been for nearly a decade! So sad that the stake was not good! Hopefully your wifey told the waiter about it? That is simply the best way to communicate when you are not satisfied for what you ordered - in every bar, restaurant and café.
Hey, you are right - the view is marvellous all year round and so is the atmosphere. So welcome again to our historical and same time modern village any time!

Stopped in with our dogster for lunch. Had a burger and a salad bowl. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. The staff were very accommodating in terms of our pooch - this was exactly what we needed.

We stayed in the Marina for couple of nights. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very good price to quality. In addition they helped us when we had a big problem with our boat. Now we are ready to set sails again.

A dog without leash came to great me at front door, and he wasn't happy to see me. He showed me his teeth and growled at me. The dog owners didn't say much and just let him roam around the front door without a leash. As a dog owner myself, I am usually pretty relaxed about dogs (even the mean ones). But leaving your crabby dog off a leash at the entrance of a restaurant? Really?
Was excited to eat lunch, but this was upsetting enough that I didn't even get to try it. Especially when the waitress and dog owners continued to let the dog roam the entrance.
I am happy to come back and try their lunch and update this rating ... but not before I know there won't be mean dogs greeting me at the door.

This restaurant has a nice view to the port, the islands and everything is beauty there. The food is in good size, normal prices for Finland, the water is free, you can take a lot to the table or you can go to the cashier and self your self from a big one bottle with water and lemon.
The hamburgers are very good and they have also vegan menu.

Me and my wife ordered grilled chicken schnitzel with chips for a lunch and it took about 45min for them to prepare those dishes, hmmm...
The place is ok, a normal guest harbor place and quite popular too. Food is working and no complaints about it. Not too expensive either.
Dogs are allowed outside at patio area which is a plus for those who travel with dogs.
