Having been a fan of this old inn back in the 70s and 80s we were keen to revisit as we were in the area. Having seen some of the reviews on here, we were a bit apprehensive but, I’m pleased to say, our visit...More

If you’re wondering why there are so many mixed reviews for The Boat, it is because it had changed owners numerous times over the years. The previous owners were fantastic, offering exceptional food and service. The current owners are rude, uncooperative and unprofessional. The pub...More

Some strange reviews on here, but we can honestly say we didn’t have any issues with staff or food, in fact 3 different starters and 4 different mains were all very good. This place is hidden away in the valley in a fantastic setting and...More

Well how odd . Having Eaten and drank at this lovely pub many times over 30 years it now seems that one cannot combine a walk on the riverside path with a drink/ lunch there. Oh well enjoying the Cross foxes where we are welcome

Discovered by accident as we returned from an antique emporium, this pub was approached by a narrow lane a mile off the main road. It sits by the River Dee and has a number of picnic tables nestling the river bank. The pub is grey...More

Yes they do in the bar area but I don't think dogs are allowed in dining area. Maybe give them a ring. As food is also served outside there are dogs around.
