We went here after reading lots of great reviews. The place was closed and looked like it was deserted. Lots of trash everywhere. I am not sure if it has closed for good but I spoke to a man next door and he confirmed that...they were closed. My Spanish is not great so I am not sure if they were just temporarily closed or not. Anyway, the place looked like it had been abandoned. very disappointing since we drove out of our way one morning based on the many recommendations on Trip Advisor.More

Great lunch time menu. Buy some sticky sweet cinnamon buns to take with you and enjoy the roasted meat: chicken, ribs and beef. The Galveston, Texas owner was out of ribs when we stopped but treated us to a sample of beef and promised to...go into town to make sure there were ribs for the next day. You cannot go wrong here. Great vibe. If our friends had not wanted to get down the road, we would be there yet. Todavida. Blink and you will miss it.More

try the cinnamon rolls, watermelon juice and bbq foods! It's all hommade and delicious. really good and refreshing for a quick stop. Nice and friendly owners/staff. They can tell you a lot about the country and how it was ten years ago.

After I tried the food at bluegrass I would not eat anywhere else in playa Hermosa. It is the best food plus it is the cheapest. The staff is very nice and inviting.

Came back to this bakery after a couple of years. The cinnamon-rolls continue to be outstanding. They were sold out by 11 am. This time I also had a smoked pork sandwich with home-made BBQ sauce. It was very tasty, although the pork was a...little tough. The location pin on Trip Advisory is way off. The correct location is on the main road.More

We stopped by here several times on our way up and down coastal highway #34. They have homemade cinnamon buns, Costa Rican food (Pinto) Yum. And pretty good coffee. They are closed I think on Sundays and other days where the owner goes surfing ;-)...The have a big white and blue placard out at the highway when they're open. Breakfast, brunch and lunch all good. Try the fresh halpinio and cheese rolls mmm.More

Laid back atmosphere. Yummy Cinnamon buns and pinto. Great place to chill after an adventure. We stopped here after hiking a mountain train which comes out very close to this outdoor restaurant.

While visiting, you need to try at least one smoked rib. Best Ive ever put in my mouth.Open Wednesday thru sunday, but you can usually catch Shannon on Tuesday smoking meat.
