Nice little bar/restaurant. They have a good selection of food to chose from and a good mix of beer and liquor. The atmosphere is quaint. The service was a little spotty, not so attentive. Everything tasted good that we ordered.

Pity, had heard such good things! Placed our order. Got our starters the soup was cold just left it, waited 1hr when we asked how long more our food would be. Ten mins later 3 of 4 mains arrived, which were nice. After another 20...mins we had to ask where the last dish was, no apology, and it was brought out. The pasta was raw!!! We asked for the bill, not even a mineral was taken off the bill as an apology. Brought it to a servers attention, not her fault but we definitely won’t be back. Zero customer service. 3hr sitting for two courses with tables around in/out in less than 1.5 for same.More
This is an excellent example of a country pub/bistro/restaurant. Good staff, good food and reasonable pricing. We eat here regularly and it never disappoints. From spicy chicken wings, pizzas, steaks etc... All excellent. Well done Eamon and team..... worth every penny. I highly recommend to...all...More
Went out for a lovely dinner. We sat at the front close to the door. A group of people sat across us and were extremely loud and screaming at the horse racing on the TV in the restaurant every 5 minutes and at each other....It was so unbearable and loud I made the staff aware. The staff was extremely helpful to move us to another table far away. I felt extremely disappointed that as a customer I had to move table as I could not enjoy my meal due to the noise because of the lack of respect rather then the person being told to behave appropriately. This is definitely not professional. Overall, The food was great and the staff were friendlyMore
Excellent spot for late lunch on Sunday. Roast beef was excellent so tender and tasty. Desserts were yummy. Generous portions of everything. Friendly proprietor. Full Covid procedures in place. Very safe environment. Thank you
While the food was good . They forgot 1 of our party pizza which eventually came .. also we waited 35 minutes for a coffee which was cold .. such a pity the service was poor ..
The pizza here is as good a pizza as I've ever had - and I've travelled and eaten a lot of pizza. We ordered 5 pizzas and they were all beautiful. Light, airy crusts with slight chew and flavourful, quality toppings that generous but well...balanced, perfectly shaped and baked in a wood fire oven. Staff were attentive and friendly. Dining room is welcoming and cosy. Toilets were clean. Hats off to chef working 19 Aug 5:30pm though.More
The best bruschetta I’ve ever had, and the carbonara and pizza were also gorgeous. We went two nights in a row as a result. Cocktails are nice too. However, very unfriendly staff and no appreciation of a thank you whatsoever when tipped for a small...takeaway order!More
Stopped for lunch on Sunday. Food was ok. Staff were not very friendly. Think we will give is a missing next time in Baltinglass.
Had the Fajita Pizza, Carbonara, Chicken curry and Meat feast pizza with friends and everyone loved it! Staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and great food.
We stopped off here for lunch on the way to Tullow. The pub itself is lovely and very big so easy to follow guidelines, the staff were lovely . We chose baked goats cheese and salad and the portions were huge . We planned on...coming back the next day but unfortunately the only breakfast time slot we got at hotel was 10.30 so for lunch we were not hungry and had to give it a miss. Well done guys A lovely pubMore
We dropped in for a quick lunch recently and a couple of drinks. From. Covid-19 point of view, everything looked in order so would not hesitate in calling in again. We just had a wrap and a chowder but all was spot on.
Very busy pub. Was charged €9 for a starter of deep fried brie. It was a special so I did not know the price when I was ordering it. A whole main course was €16. On the receipt it is down as spring rolls. I...queried it and was told both were the same price. The main course was good. The dessert was ordinary enough. It's just a run of the mill pub in a country town, maybe they are a bit ahead of themselves with the city centre prices for starters. The toilets could really do with an upgrade but were clean. A 200ml bottle of coke was €2.80. Overpriced like everywhere. A pint of cider was over the odds too. Overall the food was good. Prices were too high for the location & standard of the surroundings. The waitress was excellent but unfortunately she had no name tag so I have no idea of her name.More
Our family loves going to Horans, staff are friendly and food is very tasty and reasonable. Had the chicken wings, delish. Horans is also excellent for christenings, confirmations and communions.
A typical pub with a not so typical tasteful menu. The food matches the service , spot on. Enjoy your visit.
