Made a quick stop after Stonehenge. Menu was diverse and local. Had a steak and a pork chop for lunch and both were plentiful and tasty! Place was full on a Saturday just after the lunch peak and now we know why.

I hadn't been to The Boot before but my friend had and was recommending it very highly. Luckily we arrived early for lunch on a Saturday, they only had two tables not reserved and were turning people away soon after we had sat down. The pub was warm and welcoming with the log fire already giving off a glowing heat... More

This is a very useful stop on the A303 shortly after Winterbourne Stoke (travelling west). If you've been stuck in the inevitable queues over Stonehenge then try a break here. A lovely old pub run by a couple that care about the ambiance and the food and drink. This is not your average "chips with everything" pub. There is a... More

Always a pleasure to break a journey down the 303 at this inn. Warmy and cosy atmosphere, efficient and prompt service and an interesting menu. And dog friendly. My salmon starter was beautifully cooked and presented and my friend's platter amazing value for such a large quantity of food.

Meeting some friends for lunch the Boot inn came up on a what's halfway website. What an inspired choice. We were very impressed with the inhouse smoker. The food was delicious. We will certainly visit again - cant wait to try other dishes from the extensive menu.

This was our second visit to the boot after quite a few years after the first visit when we were served dodgy prawns and the chef argued with our judgement. This chef who is apparently trained by Gary Rhodes obviously skipped quite a few classes. The whitebait starter was standard out of the bag with a bland Mayo (can't remember... More

An excellent place to stop for a meal if you are travelling to or from London and West country on the A 303. It is only 2 minutes from this road and offers a truly wonderful menu and local Devizes beers. Highly recommended.

A traditional English pub aiming for high-end dining. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Most of our food was tasty and a couple of our choices were underseasoned to our plate making them a little bland. Fine when you're not paying high end prices.

With an open fire in the winter months and a large garden for dining in the summer months the Boot is a great place to be come rain or shine.
