Coming from the north east, I know curry very well. We were staying at Ribby Hall which is very close to this restaurant. They delivered to my cottage, no problems. The food was lovely. Very tasty. Delivery time was good and value was good too. I can recommend the vindaloo. We ate here twice. The only thing I wasn't keen... More

Arrived at 7pm and sat in the comfortable waiting area whilst we were served a nice cobra and perused the menu. After taking our order we were shown to our table , everything very clean and tidy with a crisp white tablecloth. Complimentary jug of iced water was a lovely touch. The restaurant was filling up now and almost every... More

The Buraq always used to be a reliably good meal but sadly something seems to have happened that's changed it for the worse. Here's how it was: onion bhajis - hard flat red things containing nothing resembling onion, chicken rogan josh - tough chicken, tasteless sauce, and we ordered chapatis and got a hard, crispy, dry, quite thick piece of... The Buraq is an Indian restaurant and takeaway. We booked a table for 7.0pm,arriving on time we were obliged to sit in a waiting area for 45 minutes. The idea is obviously to make you buy more drinks. This is a most irritating habit, particularly as you want to sit at your booked table with a bottle of wine. The service was good if a... Have visited this restaurant many times in the past and have always had a nice relaxing meal with good food and service, was unfortunate on my return visit as they seemed to have only one staff member on the floor, also the food was nowhere near the standard it had in the past, restaurant seemed empty and lifeless.

Been here a couple of times. Staff are very friendly and the food is tasty, but very spicy! Even if you ask for it to be on the mild side, it's still hot! Ok, I suppose, if you like it spicy!

Family meal this evening and very disappointed. Below average service, place wasn't very clean and food was poor. Nan bread doughy, rice greasy as were sauces. My daughter had a dead daddy long legs on the window sill next to her. Waste bin over flowing in toilet and we ate early evening. Won't be going there ever again I am... More

The Vegan & I often get our take-aways from The Buraq as it's always top quality and delicious. When we go inside to order, we will have a drink while we are waiting. Even if we are in our scruffs, we are made to feel welcome. I have tried different meals here which I haven't seen at other Indian restaurants.... More

Went here as a couple for dinner. The restaurant was quite quiet on arrival as it was early. The layout and decor is really nice and the table layout spacious. Friendly staff and a good sized car park. The food was really nice but we ordered too much as the portions are really quite big. 1 naan bread will be... More
