First visit to Il Camino for many years and we were pleased to find it run by a "Chef Patron" who took great pride in the production of very tasteful food which appeals to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The service was unobtrusive and the prima patti was delivered very quickly. Chef was able to modify items to suit my wife's... More

First let me first say I loved the name of this restaurant, it means 'the fireplace' suggesting a warm welcome and that's just how we were made to feel. Another fine touch is that to enter you announce your arrival by using the front door knocker as if calling on friends. I liked that. We were met by the delightfully... More

Visited with family group on a Saturday night to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday. Food was good quality Italian. I had checked other Tripadvisor reports so I knew not to expect pizzas, however I was surprised at how few pasta dishes there were. I'd say this was more of a meat and fish Italian - but it's good at what... More

We visited this restaurant for dinner, the food was authentic Italian, not the usual pizza and spaghetti bol one normally sees on British Italian menus.we took advantage of the two for one offer which applies as long as one of you remains within the choice of six starters and mains, with a bottle of wine and water came to £51... Decent restaurant. Experienced a very personal service, staff were great, well informed and whilst quite packed it was still a relaxing environment.

We visited Il Camino with friends and had a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. We had three courses and every dish was presented nicely, and the staff were very attentive. The wine list was varied, and drinks were priced in line with other local restaurants. All,in all, a very enjoyable experience.

Went to this restaurant this evening with my son and his wife and my husband. I had mussels to start they were really dry. Although it said with a pesto crust I was very disappointed it was like chewing on sawdust. My husband has the mushroom with cheese which he said was ok. My daughter in law enjoyed her frog... More

We popped in recently on a busy Saturday evening wanting a simple meal. We had not booked but were fitted in and shown to a nice table. The waitress asked if we wanted to see the wine list, I said yes please! but it never appeared. We shared a starter and had mid range mains with no pudding, all good.... More

Went with friends and were keen to try out this nice little High Street venue. We were seated and then moved, space was quite tight making getting in and out tricky. Staff were welcoming. Menu looked interesting although 3 out of 4 first choices were not available. Starters were good, fresh and light. Mains were ok, although the beef and... More

First visit to Il Camino won't be our last. The menu is not vast but has an excellent choice of dishes and is extremely good value. Staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. The food was all well cooked and delicious and portions were generous, I would certainly recommend a visit to this restaurant but with limited space a... More
