We visited on a Thursday night and found they were only serving pizza. But what great pizza they serve. Highly recommend the Vesuvius which has pepperoni and jalapeños. Washed down with some Speckled Hen of course, very nice indeed.
So worth a visit! We visited as a family of 6 for an evening meal. Staff were friendly and efficient and monitoring social distancing really well. Two of us had a pizza each, delicious and fully loaded. The sea bass, ribs and squid were all...delicious. One of the few places to serve rum and raisin ice cream by Suffolk Meadow which was literally the nicest I’ve cream we’ve ever eaten. Had a chat with the owner who was very kind to give an extra scoop of ice cream when the order got a bit mixed up and sat and chatted with us. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the food really reasonable in price and big portions. Will definitely visit again.More
My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast at this cosy pub yesterday. It came highly by recommended by her family, and it’s easy to see why. You sense the pub hasn’t changed much, if at all, since it opened many years ago, and...the food was as hearty and warming as the service (and the fire). The topside of beef was delicious, likewise all the trimmings, especially the Yorkshire pudding. An extra jug of gravy was delivered without us having to ask. We enjoyed a generous portion of whitebait to start, but desserts felt a little overpriced at £6.95, so we politely declined. It certainly wouldn’t stop us returning though. A real hidden gem.More
Went with family for a meal nice pub friendly staff
I had white bait but it was more like small sardines they
should have been smaller . Burgers were lovely
Pork was delicious, but sorry to say that the Sea Bass
was half a fish...with cabbage and potatoes very
boring and bland. Not good valve for money.More
As always, very special home cooked meal, just perfect - as we've come to expect of the food in this pub. It's well worth driving a few miles to this traditional old pub, with its warm welcome and its reliably good food. We've had many...meals here and the food is always so fresh, local, and beautifully cooked. A great place to go with friends and familyMore
Had a fantastic Christmas meal at the Crown inn great Glemham, so friendly they even gave us some logs for our fire as the rental property where we stayed only provided enough for one night. Definitely recommend
You can keep your fine dining and gastronomic pubs because on Thursday at the Crown you can have an amazing homemade pie made that day with choice of potatoes and veg in season with delicious gravy washed down with a pint of your choice all...for £10!!! Any other day the food is amazing with a wide choice good service and a brilliant quiet country pub atmosphere! Log fires make it perfect on a winters evening! There are locally brewed beers and great ciders! My favourite place to spend an evening in SuffolkMore
We were very disappointed in our Sunday lunch yesterday, (Sunday 17th November)the beef was VERY tough and the potatoes I'm pretty sure frozen ones are used. The actual meal itself was presented really well but was barely warm. The young lad that served us apologised...and asked what he could do, he was very polite, but sadly we wont be returningMore
