We had several meals at Tony's. We were always welcomed with a huge smile by the lady running the place. The view of the river was quite good and the food was consistently good and tasty. They could offer bigger portions for the prices but it was tasty and a sure bet.

This was the best nasi goreng I've had on five islands. Eva is an excellent cook of local food, I did not have the Western food (why would you?) so cannot comment on that. Highly recommended, very good prices. Enjoy!

Tony may own the place but his sister Eva is the chef and she makes excellent Nasi Goreng. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Really cold beers and Great service. Definitely give Tony's a try while you are in Buki Lawang.

This establishment is located along the walk of the Bukit Lawang river between some shops. The cuisine is primarily Italian pasta, pizza etc. and the pastas are delicious. The meals take 30 minutes to arrive (this is known as preparation time in the restaurant community) but the food is worth the wait, the chips are divine. They taste like English... More

Food was great, bloody cold drinks. Keep in mind that in Sumatra meals seem to take an average of 30 minutes each meal and come out one at a time. In comparison she was reasonably quick and the meals came out together (what more could you ask for)!

The food was tasty and fresh. It took a while to arrive (40 mins for a pizza) but we had a very early lunch so that may have been why. The food and drinks tasted great, the service was friendly and the location above the river was lovely.

We stayed in bukit lawang 4 days and went 3 times and loved every time. We tried a mixture of Indonesian and western and all of it was really good. The owner (who is also the cook and owns shop across) is a lovely lady who is helped by her teenage son. If you are staying in bukit lawang then... More
