Would not return to this. We were charged for bread we didn't eat, however the waitress decided to say that was a charge for the complementary plate from the chef. Please avoid, I promise you, you will be disappointed. Seeing the chef with a tissue up his nose near the meat counter was enough for me never to return... I... More

The place is difficult to find but we thought we will enjoy the best meat in Andalucia. First we enjoyed the protection of tents offering a much welcomed shadow, surronded by a nice vegetation while sipping cold beers. Then came the lunch. Some of our glasses were dirty, having been brought to the table by dirty hands. We ordered appetizers... More

After 10 days of seafood and tapas we wanted to eat some heavy meat food with very good red wine. This place is suitable for the meat lovers. You can see the kitchen and the meats so you can choose what you want to eat. They have a great selection of wines too. We had a great dessert at the... More

A basic rule: it fails to meet, meets or exceeds expectations. The vast majority fit into the first two categories. This place - wow - is certainly in the very rare 'exceeds' category. What to expect? It's a meat place, set in St Lucia, a lovely little village outside Vejer. Monday night in June yet very busy. The locals know... More

Beautiful spot and worth walking up to the aqua duct just 150 metres up the hill. Vejer is unique and full of great spots to eat and drink. This is a special spot but you do need to be aware of the need for a taxi or to drive back so watch your alcohol. Beef was well presented and described... More

Service was oddly distant, arrogant even. Location is lovely and the restaurant has moved with the times. We have been to Vejer every year for 15 years but we feel they over rate themselves rather and need to work harder We drove so could only drink glasses of wine after a reasonable g n t. Selection by the glass non... More

My good friend Cliffy has been banging on about this restaurant for about 4 years. Yesterday I finally got to experience it for myself and I wasn't let down. The setting is lovely, the quality of the steak is up there with Goodman, Hawksmoor, Peter Luger, Wolfgang's, Smith & Wollensky, you name it. Service was great too. After a long... More

We are a big family that strives year after year to offer something unique. Castilleria is a trendy place located in a nature environment of clean air with the best raw materials grilled. Castilleria tells its history and its landscape on the table; in the flesh, in the wines and in the coal that fuels the fire and give the perfection to the grill.
