Local Lappisch restaurant with many local guests. Superb buffet with freshly cooked fish and reindeer meat. Very stylish with staff in Lappish dresses. Very friendly service.

We had the set menu reindeer feast. The restaurant is set around an open fire which they use to cook on and keep the food warm. It is lovely and cosy with a traditional feel. We went for my birthday meal and to try reindeer...and although ima fussy eater I loved all of it. You had a really tasty mushroom soup to start only a little bit but it was full of flavour. The main was reindeer roasted which was delicious, salted and slow cook which again was delicious, reindeer sausage and another reindeer dish. There was salmon which my husband enjoyed and slow cooked pork which was also good. Jacket potato with mushroom salad (coleslaw) or sauerkraut, mash potatoes, root vegetables and berries. It is buffet style and the salmon and roasted reindeer is sliced and given to you by a chef. The pudding is pancake with cream and fruit compote. We were lucky to have a table to ourselves as the seating is on long benches and the staff were attentive and informative and helped make our evening. This was not just a meal but an experience and we are so glad we went.More
If you want something different to eat, go Kammi. There is everything (food) made from reindeer. And it is very good - excellent! And The place - you must see it and enjoy.
Atmosphere is good, food is almost good. Empty cups of root vegetables. Waitress think that this is serious business. No smile! A little bit expensive place and the joiku takes about 6 minutes!
Very traditional Finnish restaurant with raindeer specialities. I have eaten the most delicious salmon in my entire life.
Reindeer feast! Amazing!! Great experience in Finland. The food was great. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice atmosphere, beautiful restaurant, good Lappish food. Dinner takes up to 2 hours, considering time for serve drinks, starters, main dish and dessert. Only thing is that there is no tables for couples, so if you are planning to have a romantic dinner, it is...not possible there. We had to sit with a group of guys. We moved to other table but sadly also had some guys coming later and sitting next to us. For the price, very expensive food and drinks, I was expecting more.More
We had an evening last Friday at this Kammi, menu called Poropeijaiset in Finnish. They served us a terribly mushroom "soup" from plastic plates! Then the main buffet table was full of many different spiecis but it was too dark to see anything and only...good one was some sausage. Dessert was again from cold plastic plates and the coffee with it was cold and like water. We told our dissatisfaction to the main waitress but we were not given any discount or even a sorry or kind words, Keep out of there!More
The only thing keeping this from 5 star was how difficult it was to find! We walked around town in circles before finally going into Rock Cafe to ask, and they said we have to go in through them and still there is no signs...and someone had to walk us to the back, out a doorway, through a short path to an unmarked door to a hut and once in, we entered the 'restaurant'. it was extremely cute and unique but still was unsure how they seated people. If they can be more organized, this would be 5+ star experience! We got our table and was about 10 minutes late but they were just getting started so we were actually in time. They start with introducing the food we will be eating and the order we will be served and story about the food. They started with wild mushroom soup which was delicious. in fact, everything was delicious! there was someone there who carved the reindeer steak and salmon and baked potatoes. We truly enjoyed it all and would recommend this to everyone who is visiting Levi. Make your reservation early as they are limited in seats.More
I was looking forward to a real Lappish meal. I made a mistake of having 2 starters and not a main meal. I also chose 2 starters which, were a selection. As a result I had a lot of rather mushy things on my plate,...which I was not able to enjoy as much as I expected. I know that Lappish food is wonderful so I guess I may just have to blame myself this time.More
Nice experience, but food was not at the same level as is used to be earlier: Reindeer stake was not hot or warm, it had stayed too long in table, it's taste was very modest. Soup and salmon were too salty. Hope that kitchen will...get back their ambition. Now the other Kammi in Levi is much better.More
Got recommendation to dine in this restaurant and loved it. You are welcomed in the hotel lobby by Sami man and he takes you to the restaurant. Buffet is amazing and great way to taste reindeer dishes in many ways!
The atmosphere and food were amazing. I can recommend this place if you wish to experience some true spirit of Finnish Lapland. Works especially well if your staying at the K5 hotel.
Felt a little sorry for the little reindeer tethered at the front door.....but I guess he was luckier than his mates who were on the buffet!! And pretty tasty they were too! Large salmon fillets smoking above an open fire were the main dish on...the buffet and added a bit of theatre to the meal. The rest of the food was good, perfect after a day out in the cold. Just be warned that you and whatever you wear will be infused with (or stink of) smoke after your visit.More
Standard Sokos Hotel menu. Some of the local dishes on the list. Youth ate burgers and it was good. Fish of the day did not entirely work. Reindeer to mash excellent ( mash excellent - reindeer quite standard) 4 adults and a child (15 years)....The service was good and positive.More
