Inside and outside seating. Excellent menu including children's section. Good range of beers and wine. Fast efficient service, even when busy. Best to reserve especially at the weekend. Combine with a walk through the woods opposite.

In bygone times the “Zoete Waters”, five 17th century ponds stretching over less than a mile in the woods of Oud-Heverlee, seemed an almost idyllic spot. There were only a few cafés; mainly in existing buildings like the former castle of Steenbergen (Spaans Dak) or the old watermill (In de Molen). Customers often arrived on foot or by bicycle after... The restaurant has a nice and pleasant room, a good menu with recipes that sound very good but the food is tasteless. It is well presented but all the taste has gone. It is a pity because the menu sounds really great.

Been here countless time. Personal very friendly. Food good. Wanderful outdoor and for days with rain big windows. Would help me an English menu.

My wife and I decided to eat at Braserie St. Jean in Zoet Water, Belgium. We were attracted initially by their beautiful looking raised deck offering commanding views of the lake. Unfortunately it was closed for the convenience of the staff. Disappointed but undeterred we decided to take a table outside, in the sun and next to a fairly busy... More

We went here for lunch after a short holiday nearby. Although the place looks nice it is not very cheap and the staff wasn't that friendly. The food and the waffles with ice cream were good, but not that special. Not sure if I would recommend this place, there might be better places to have lunch nearby

Not far from where I used to live (and still visit) I have been to the St-Jean more times than I can even try to remember. It is a cosy and the type of place you can take someone for a business lunch or go with the family on a Sunday after a walk in the woods. Service has always... More

This is a good place to go if you want to have a quick and decent meal with your family. A bit pricey for the food available but after all we cannot pretend to get the best price/quality ratio always!! Cosy atmosphere and staff is really nice.

We were sent here by a local tradesman. We needed a late lunch and the spot looked lovely. The menu is limited and we were hungry. We ordered what was described as an Aberdeen Angus burger. Frankly I'm not sure I would have fed it to my dog, more frozen burger than gourmet. We paid 20 euro each for the... More
