I cannot say anything against the taste of fish or beef, however, the stuff was extremely unfriendly. Moreover, the water wich was served for tea, had a strong coffee taste.

We were taken there by our Host for lunch. The place is located near the water front and in Mariehamn. The. Food offered was in abundance variety and good value for money. The seafood soap was fantastic in taste, and we Recommend this for all try. Tea coffee is included. In the buffet.

We had a very good late night dinner here -- by prior arrangement with the hotel, the kitchen was actually kept open a little longer so that we would be able to have dinner in spite of our late arrival in Mariehamn. Food is good and plentiful, and there are some excellent local beers on sale here.

One of this restaurant's classic dishes is a shrimp sandwich - it looks good and it tastes good! And I mean on the patio (Arkipelag Garden). Also other dishes on the menu probably are good, but it is kind of a tradition to have shrimps here. Staff is friendly, service is good, relaxed atmosphere. They very often have live music... More

I attended a conference at the Arkipelag and thus had the lunch buffet two days in a row. It was, to say the least, a mediocre experience, especially for a guy like me who spends a great deal of time at conference centres around Scandinavia. The salad buffet was dull and not varied at all, the hot dishes were bland... More

I have enjoyed a lot of hotel breakfast buffets, mostly tasty but dull ones, a few disappointments and a few thrills like this one. Local fresh bread, smoked salmon, homemade cereals, Alands special pancake....you name it. And most important: The omelette was perfect.

We had arrived at the airport late and had, therefore, arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes before closing. The waitresses had no trouble with this and we had access to the full menu. The inside seating was full of bar customers waiting for the casino to open and so we had to sit outside. Good heaters were provided as... More

Arkipelag, or "Arken" is not really where you go for dinner. They have a decent lunch buffet and then it is the place to be late at night. It also is directly adjacent to the Casino, with indoor access between the two. Arken after hours is where everyone is. If you want a gourmet dinner, go to ÅSS Segelpaviljongen, Natutical... More
