We loved the chanterelle bread, but the rest of the dishes were just ok. The fish was mushy and the filet mignon was surprisingly tough. The waitress was polite but extremely inexperienced. I don’t think the dining experience matched the rather positive reviews for this...place. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this restaurant.More

Casual finedining at its best. Good and friendly service, still nothing out of ordinary. But the food, quite amazing. Clever, but not too fancy. For starters roe/chips (clever dish) and steak for maincourse. I rarely order steak at restaurants nowadays, but this was mouthwatering. Perfect...medium-, good sauces, potatoes etc. Enjoyed it a lot.More

Kvarter5 is definitely among the best restaurants in Mariehamn - it is busy at noon, but already at 12:30 the peak has passed and they maintain the quality of what they serve very well even during the peak. And their After Work is very worthwhile...as well.More

We visited with family recently, and had a wonderful meal. The food was delightful and the restaurant's menu had a delicious combination of flavours, with some excellent local produce. We left feeling well fed and satisfied. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant felt...upscale but not intimidating. They were happy to accommodate English speakers, and made us feel very welcome.More

The food is good, but the atmosphere is just average, not very cosy. The restaurant is a relatively small part of the hotel, the tables are narrow, most guest are dressed very! leger.

Made a reservation at 20.00. At arrival it was not arranged. Had to wait 25 minutes more. Not acceptable.

I won't include all the ingredients for each dish since you can get them of their online menu. We started by sharing a blackened tartare of horse beef. I'm not a tartare eater at all, but this was absolutely delicious. For my main, I had...the perch which was probably the best meal I've eaten in a long time, as well as being paid with their wine suggestion which matched perfectly. My wife (unfortunately) had the pigs cheek. Her opinion was that it tasted like any standard lunch of the day and was totally forgettable. When it came time to pay the bill, I pointed out the fact that they'd forgotten to include one glass of wine on it. The waitresse's reply? "Oh, we'll fix that". Not "... Oh thank you very much for pointing it out" (and POSSIBLY saying that because of our honesty, it was on the house). Not good!!! Having said that, the presentation and taste of 2 out of the 3 courses was enough so I would certainly recommend this restaurant.More

Little can go wrong with good raw materials, an amazing chef abd a little twist that makes you go wow! I'm not much into fine dining and Kvarter 5 makes uncomplicated semi fine dining. If you eat outside on the terrace, which has wonderful evening...sun you order from inside. Otherwise it's table service. We toik every single item on the "today's appetizers" board, five small courses was well enough for us two, and the food plus a bottle of rosé was just under 100€, which is reasonable for that level of food. The wow factor was the fried pickled cucumber, amazing! So happy we experienced this restaurant, it seemed popular with locals and was a little bit away from everything. It's a hotel restaurant and the hotel looked nice too, very modern. The rosé was amazing too.More
