I'm a regular at the bakery... My go to is the rainbow bowl at lunch which I highly recommend if your a salad junkie. So good fresh and filling. But the frozen meals not so much. I got the cabbage rolls and Shepard pie. Both...were flavorless and awful. Was disappointed.More

We did not get to try their meals as were were told 1 hour before closing that the kitchen was closed. We did get some pastries. The scones are not the right consistency. The service is bad. And the organization is non existing. People who...actually have placed their orders wait in the same line as everyone who wants a piece of bread. So to buy one croissant you have to wait 20 min or more. We only waited as we did not know where else to buy breadMore

We have been coming here for many years. Since they expanded the quality of food and service has deteriorated greatly. The last sandwich I ordered I threw out. The baked goods are like dough bricks. They used to make a good scone but no longer....You could use it as a door stop. The staff are clueless kids who don’t listen to your order. The bread was stale and the order was wrong. People line up like sheep because there is nothing else to eat in thornbury otherwise they would be out of business.More

Quite surprised that this happened at Thornbury Cafe. Late yesterday, I had stopped by at around 4pm to get a cappuchino and was delighted to see that there was one fresh (likely made early in the day) not bagged loaf of sourdough bread left on...the bakery shelf. I asked the young server (family?) and she confirmed it was indeed sourdough - awesome! At the time, waiting on the sidewalk behind the newly set-up shielded counter, I thought it odd that she didn't immediately take that fresh load off the bakery shelf that was beside her counter - instead she appeared from behind the bakery shelf with a pre-bagged bread which at the time I thought "oh, that must not have been the last one I saw" ... only later after I arrived home and cut into the bread did I realize a) that it was white bread and b) that it was not fresh (likely made the day before). SO disappointed. I know times are tough these days and that we need to support each other (hence the 3 review and not a 1) but let's all make the effort to do the right thing and overdeliver on the simple tasks guys!More

My partner and I went to the Cafe on a Sunday afternoon as a lot of other restaurants and cafes closed early in the area. We ordered a latte, roast beef & provolone sandwich, bell pepper & tomato soup, red velvet cupcake, and a carrot...cupcake. The food in my opinion was all simple (how fancy can you get with a carrot cupcake), but it was all very well made and delicious. The prices were medium-high. If you're looking for a yummy and filling lunch, I recommend this place!More

went with the family for a day drive and stopped here to have lunch, it was busy and had to wait for a seat, but everyone loved their dining choices. I had the Italian grill and it wsa great along with the side of slaw....The turkey avocado and roast beef provolone also looked very good. You order and pay and they bring to your table. Prices were very fair and service was friendly . A definite revisit is in orderMore

We met another couple here for a visit which was central for both of us. Amazingly comfortable with delicious food choices. Loved the relaxing atmosphere. Pies which can also be purchased to take home were reasonably priced for the value. Wonderful to have so many...baked good choices! A must go to place.More
