I love going to The Dam Pub with friends and family. It features pleasant servers, good food and a relaxed, happy vibe. If you are a scotch drinker, you'll love the wide variety available.

Wow! I had the Dam Pub's house salad and my husband ordered calamari and braised beef short ribs. Wow! Amazing food and service!

First time back since last March. I really missed the atmosphere, staff and decor. I had a wonderful meal of one of their features (braised Short rib). I couldn’t have made it better myself, presentation was also very pleasing. We were welcomed with enthusiasm by...the masked owner (Stephanie) and her staff. Renovation are also looking good, overall I missed this restaurant and will be back in the near future. Congrats to the new head chef Eddie.More

I returned to the Dam Pub today after the indoor dining had been closed since March due to COVID. The food was amazing as always. The ambience was just as warm and inviting as last year and the staff were so friendly. It's definitely one...of my favourite restaurants to return to.More

Had the unfortunate experience of dining here in September. The owner was arrogant and the food reminded me of boil a bag. Asked for water and was given bottled water and charged.

Had the lamb shank, Shepard's pie and the fish & chips, calamari and deep fried Haggis apps Flight of scotch and wine as well as a local cider Service was exceptional. With the separation of tables and heaters the patio was amazing.

5 Stars all the Way! Definitely worth the trip to Thornbury and a visit to the Dam Pub! Always one of our "go-to" spots when want a great "gastro experience!" Not only is the food and service excellent, we really appreciate them practicing strict protocols...with regards to Covid-19, not only for our protection but for their staff as well. Anybody that doesn't wish to respect their rules should just stay home. In these uncertain times, I am very cautious about where I go to dine. I just wish that others understood that too. Thank You for being strict with your policies, so I feel more comfortable navigating through these difficult times and being able to dine away from home. See you again very soon for yet another great experience!!More

I have eaten at the pub a few times now and each meal is better than the last. This time around we had the prime rib dinner for my wife and I and our daughter had the Shepherds Pie. The prime rib was absolutely to...die for. Perfectly cooked and the Yorkshire Pudding was perfection. My daughter devoured the massive Shepherds Pie and would have kept going if there was more to eat. Desserts are spectacular. The chocolate pate with a single malt is my go to and is fantastic. This time around we also tried the peanut butter pie and my goodness..... it’s just amazing. I cannot recommend this pub enough. It’s a must try for anyone in the Thornbury area or for anyone passing through that is looking for one of the best meals you will eat.More
