Unfortunately because we were here late, we could only grab a milkshake. Lovely ambience especially if you move inside the cafe. Lots of sun and looks as a courtyard. Really good milkshake (both salted caramel and vanilla)

The servers were polite, and they have a lot of passer-throughs (like us). The old fashioned milkshake was delicious, but the chicken salad I had left a bit to be desired: just plain packet lettuce leaves, chicken, nuts, and plain mayo style dressing. For the price, I would have liked a bit more pizazz. My husband got a pie. He... More

Asked a local where's aged place to go for great coffee and food? The Courtyard Cafe we were told. Well set out. Plenty of seating in the covered courtyard at the rear of the Cafe. Allpress Coffee. All good.

We are new residents to this area and sampling the local cafés is high on our list of things to do. The Courtyard Café, located on the main street through Paeroa, was first on our list. There’s a nice ambience about this café, the staff are lovely, service is excellent and the food is to die for. There’s a great... More

Had a late lunch here on the way through. All three of us had different but delicious sandwiches. They were happy to change bread, no butter etc. a bit prize though. Lovely atmosphere. Great selection in Deli part.

Had a couple of friends down from Auckland for the day, and having walked through the shopping area we stopped at the Courtyard cafe for lunch. It was hard to choose what to eat as it all looked delicious. One had the salmon fritata, and I and my other friend had a mushroom, feta and spinach pie each, absolutely delicious.... More

Happened upon this delightful café heading through Paeroa on the main street almost opposite the information centre. So glad I stopped here just wish I was hungry as the food looked amazing! In hindsight I wish I had taken pix of the cabinet food as it looked great. Backboard menu available too. Parking on road outside café. Courtyard located out... More

Unexpected gourmet experience. Amazing pork pies, and have you seen who the baker is? I was expecting an old farmer's wife it turned out to be a gorgeous young girl assisted by a young lad. If I were not afraid that she might be tempted to leave Paeroa, I would have begged her to come and teach those who call... More

The Courtyard cafe is a great place to stop on your way through for some great food and excellent coffee. We have had better customer service from counter staff, but if you can swallow that the rest of your experience is superb.
