Excellent service, excellent food. They just need to dim the lights a bit next to the tables to create a better atmosphere. Decoration very stylish.

We had a very nice family lunch...3 of us chose the "catch" of the day: a deliciously prepared fish (maigre) with mushrooms and chard. We enjoyed meeting the chef at the end of our meal. We will be back!

Nicolas Bottero and his team are doing something truly special at his namesake restaurant outside of Aix. We've been there twice now and both times it's been top marks across the board: setting, presentation, service, wine list, and of course the flavors that are being...served up from the kitchen. If he keeps this up he's going to be getting a Michelin star soon!More

A truly excellent restaurant - Michelin star standard cuisine without any of the fussy service. A real find in the Aix area.

This was our first visit to Mas Bottero since its opening 18 months ago. This restaurant has a well deserved reputation for excellence, with a focus on local dishes and producers. Prices are moderate to high, but you definitely get value for money. We opted...for the déjuener menu-see attached photo. Each dish was very tasty. The maitre’d was welcoming and our server was very knowledgeable. It is a modern/simple decor. The outdoor patio must be lovely on a nice sunny day. Wines aren’t inexpensive, but carefully selected. Overall, we were very satisfied. We only have two additional points- in the winter months the chef should consider offering a potage/soup, and the odor coming from the washroom (located near the front entrance) should be addressed.More

We'd been to Aix for essentials on an extraordinarily wet day. As our planned golf was a washout, we called local friends for a recommendation for good, long lunch. Three and half hours later saw us leave with very big smiles on our faces and...very little left in our wallets! We arrived to an empty but very simply, elegant dining room where we were welcomed by a charming lady and staff and ushered to a lovely window table. In no time, the place was full of other discerning diners no doubt sheltering for similar reasons to us. The food here is exquisite.More

I had to rebook twice and they could not have been more pleasant about my interuped journey. I was by myself, and sometime one can feel a little “Billy no mates” and get the table behind the bussing station or near a toilet – however...I was given a great table w/a view of their little herb garden and received more then friendly and competent service. The wine pairing I choose – or rather they did – was superb and they were kind enough to take the time to write out the wines on a copy of the menu for me. An excellent overall experience. I wish I lived nearer.More

Dear sir, thank you very much for your return message. The pleasure of the customer, even more if he eats alone is our priority. Thanks for the comparison with a Michelin star. Best regards.

My partner and two friends went to this restauarant for lunch. I had the vegetarian menu because it sounded so intriguing. Everyone else had the lunch time set menu. We were served the most delightful and imaginative appetiser of slivers of crisp bread, olive oil,...fried chick pea squares, seasoned bread and a dip. A delight! All dishes that followed were beautifully presented, with first class products, cooked to perfection with fascinating accompanying sauces. I am not a vegetarian but as the lunch menu started with octopus which I do not eat, I opted for the vegetarian choice. It was absolutely sensational. The ambiance is city chic, minimalist with imaginative cutlery, china ware and glasses. The wine list was perfect, reflecting the best of local wines as well as those from further afield. There is also an interesting shop where you can purchase quality condiments, grains, salt and table items. The perfect place to buy presents. I cannot wait to return. A most relaxing and special experience. Lunch for 4 (2 courses each) plus wine was €132.More
