Mixed reviews so it seems. We went there in mid September 2016. The restaurant was fully booked but they found a table. The antipasti seven dishes were delicious and varied. The barbecued swordfish was fine. A very good experience!

We arrive Sunday without a reservation. We had been turned away from two other restaurants as Sunday is family day. Here we were warmly accommodated. We had mixed seafood salad, grilled mussels, calamari, and fish of day, and house wine. Everything was very good. The house white wine refreshing. Total bill 50 euro! Excellent.

We were looking for a place to eat seafood and some locals suggested to visit this restaurant. Well, we experienced the worst restaurant in Sicilia. The white wine we ordered (not an expensive bottle) was acid, we asked a second bottle but same result. The "7 tasting" antipasto was ok but nothing was fresh made. Then we ordered "pasta ai... The restaurant proposes a menu at a fixed price which is very abundant but it is a case of quantity winning over quality and as the table gets covered by a surprising amount of dishes, you get a sense of waste and guilt for stuffing yourself with food which is either rather fat or creamy and full of onions, while... Very popular restaurant right at the port of Portopalo where the fish is unloaded therefore guaranteeing its freshness. The menu is of 3 parts starting with the 15 euro, of 7 antipasti serves of fish cooked in various manners including wine and water. We chose the next menu of 20euro which included the 7 antipasti dishes as well as one... More

An excellent discovery. Food is excellent and abundant. Fresh fish guaranteed as you see fishermen unloading crates of freshly caught fish right in front of your eyes. Will definitely return and highly recommend it to others visiting the picturesque Porto di Portopalo.

The restaurant was recommended to us by an Italian friend. It was two hours away from where we were staying (Marina di Modica) but was well worth the drive there and back. The food was delicious, and the servings were so big that we were already feeling full after the first course. We (three persons) ordered a set menu which... More

We have eaten here several times. The food was flawless and the service was excellent. The proprietor knew we collected seashells and saved some beautiful ones for us. He only serves seafood and fish that are caught fresh that day. The sea and fishing boats are directly in front of the restaurant's door. We had mixed antipasti, beautiful seafood pastas... More
