If you want something special ask Kurmang for his spicy Kurdish pasties. You will not regret it. If you have time ask Kurmang about his life story. He will be happy to talk for as long as you want. An unforgettable experience.

I called in as a he reviews were amazing, and I love a good tasty pasty, and I was not disappointed! I had the spicy Kurdish pasty and it was gorgeous, I've never tasted anything like it before. The owner was such a warm and welcoming gentleman and was telling me all about the Snowdon climb he does every year,... More

Popped in here to get some pasties. Never heard of it before and no expectations. The owner was really welcoming and a fascinating man. His Kurdish pasties were sublime. I especially liked the 'new' version with cauliflower and yoghurt.

I popped in this local bakery mid Thursday morning to buy a couple of freshly baked large white baps @ 50p each. I have also bought his famous Kurdish spicy pasties and sweet honey bread from his stall at the local produce market in Porthmadog, which is held in the Community Centre by the Cob on the last Saturday of... Blaenau is rightly renowned for its walking, zip wire, caverns and heritage railway but right up there with those attractions is Mr Rashid's Kurdish bakery. Bread you'll be hard pushed to find on many British High Streets. Note: A take-out bakery not cafe.

We intended visiting and started by chatting with the owner in the doorway taking in the sunshine. Proceeding inside we got a description of his bread. Ate a good lunch on a bench almost opposite the rail station. Good fun and quality products found here.

The highlight of our trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog was the discovery of this bakery on the High Street. The owner of the bakery was a fascinating character who was happy to chat and pass the time of day and must been one of the few bakers in the country to have an Master of Science degree! Having switched career from... More

Always friendly service with a delicious range of products. Particularly like the different flavoured breads and his Moroccan pasties.

We were looking for lunch having just climbed Snowdon when we happened upon the bakery, the baker himself is an exceptionally kind and interesting man who made the whole experience very enjoyable. The Kurdish pasty itself was also delicious as were the other pastries served. An all round amazing bakery

Driving through Blaenau Ffestiniog in the morning we'd noticed the Model Bakers and made a note to return in the evening after our Zip Wire and Mine Tours. Parking was free and easy outside the Bakery Shop. The Bakery shop whilst small, stocked a good range of products, though was running low due to our visit at the end of... More
