Really enjoyable evening, the restaurant is quite small in a quiet back street of town. Nicely furnished. Only a tasting menu as far as I could see. Very good service. Food was all well executed and beautifully presented. Definitely one of the best 1star restaurants...we have been to. Only disappointment was a group on one table who thought it was a good idea to have a face time call at full volume half way through their meal. I wouldn't do that in pizza hut never mind a Michelin star restaurant. Total disregard for the other diners. Mobile phones are becoming an unacceptable intrusion in too many restaurants.More

Amazing food, impressive plates' decorations and impeccable service. This restaurant is very unique and definitely the best "one-star" michelin restaurant we have done so far with my wife.

We usually choose Michelin for special occasions. This time we visited this wonderful restaurant. Excellent tasting menu, excellent service. Not cheap, but if you want gastro adventures this is a great place. There are not many such points in Tenerife ...

A definite foodie experience. The taster menu has lots of different dishes with some fantastic tastes and flavors. Served on some exquisite plates. Details like providing an envelope for your mask to protect it given as you sit at the table shows they care about...detail. And wow just as you think you are finished out comes the sweet tree - amazing.More

We are always seeking new dining experiences and a Michelin star tasting menu is usually one to remember. We were staying locally and booked well in advance as the restaurant is small and intimate. We went for the 6 glasses of wine to pair with...the menu and the servings were very generous (we never would have managed 12!) The food was of excellent quality and the theatre of the experience truly memorable. Would highly recommend.More

We had the tasting menu with a flight of 6 wines. My wife and I both loved it. The service from Maria and Raquel is perfect and the food just delicious, cooked by two brothers.

This was our 6th consecutive visit to our beloved favourite restaurant, which is an exclusive place with few tables, so booking essential. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Maria, having emailed to confirm Juan Carlos would be heading up the kitchen tonight. Blown away...to discover he only cooks vegetarian tasting menus on special rare occasions, so husband treated like royalty throughout the entire evening! Hubby thinks that as a practising vegetarian for 40 years, who has eaten in many high end restaurants, Juan Carlos does not give himself the credit he deserves. His vegetarian tasting menu outranks any other place we have visited across the globe. Suffice to say our two tasting menus were sublime - packed with culinary surprises, amazing flavours, colours, textures and served by professional staff who exude calm throughout a busy service. Please see photographs attached, which hopefully capture our amazing experience. This is culinary and dining perfection in every sense of the word. Again, as last year, we await the news that El Rincon have been awarded 2 Michelin stars, as it does not compare with other one star restaurants in the UK we have enjoyed recently. Many thanks to Juan Carlos, Maria and the whole team for a fantastic visit yet again. We are due to visit again next January. xxxMore

Whoever thought that Los Gigantes (Tenerife) would be hiding such a sparkling gem of a restaurant! El Rincón de Juan Carlos is one such gem and we finished our holiday in top notch style at this Michelin stared beauty. I could post descriptions and photos...galore of the outstanding tasting menu, but I would spoil the multiple surprises supplied by each of the 16 (yes that’s right, SIXTEEEN) courses and the six wines served alongside. If you love food, tastes, textures and restaurant theatricals then find your way to El Rincón de Juan Carlos. Don’t be put off by the exterior or the fact that it’s tricky to find - both are part of the deliberate deception. Although this restaurant is by no means inexpensive, it is worth every single euro. Top food, top wines, top service. Treat your self. Do it now. You will not be disappointed.More

A foodies paradise. From start to finish the service is exceptional. I come here every time I visit Tenerife and it just gets better. The neutral minimalist environment is the opposite to the food. I always go for the degustation menu with the wine flight...as I love to get a taste of everything and I know the wine will compliment each delicious morsel.More
