I visited Duckworth Hall after a recommendation & I wasn't disappointed. Myself & partner both went for Thursday offer - the rib eye steak & chips which we received a complimentary glass of wine. The service was good & we didn't have to wait long for our meal. The restaurant is cosy with the low ceilings. Highly recommend.

My partner chose cumberland sausage, it arrived full blown swirl, looked amazing accompanied with mustard mash and a medley of fresh veg, myself I went for a chicken and black pudding stack smothered in a creamy pepper sauce, new potatoes and fresh vegetables, both meals were a delight, I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone wanting good wholesome food... Went at tea time on a Sunday recently, it is always advisable to book here, although it wasn't too busy. We ordered a starter of Mushrooms to share, when the young girl brought them for us she also provided us with more cutlery which I thought was very thoughtful. When our main meals arrived [we both had the meat pie]... More

Was disappointed that on the menu board was Lamb shoulder, i really wanted it but sold out. I ordered Fish and chips , it was lovely, apart from the meals for my daughter and son in law being late we had a lovely time and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would go again but for lunch so they don't run... More

We had heard rave reviews about this place and were really looking forward to trying the food. 8 of us including my mother and father in law, brother and sister in law, their kids and my wife went out to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. We all ordered separately for billing reasons and I was the last to order,... More

My husband and I visited Duckworth Hall with friends on a recommendation. Lovely, home cooked pub food but also several options on the specials board. Everything was reasonably priced and the service was good. Only slight down fall (and it is tiny) was that all the bills were hand written and they weren't itemised so that caused a problem at... This place is 1 of my favourite pub lunch places. The weekday and Sunday roasts are fantastic, all accompanied with fresh home cooked vegetables and served piping hot. Even vegetarians won't be disappointed as the home made cheese and onion pie is heaven on a plate.

We hadn't been to the Duckworth Hall for some time so decided to go for Sunday lunch. The pub was busy with most tables reserved but we were given a table downstairs at the far side of the bar. My wife had the roast and I had lamb cutlets, we both had ginger sponge, service wasn't great, when the mains... More

If home cooked, good value, traditional pub grub is your thing then you really can't go wrong. The menu is exactly as you would expect of a traditional English country pub but if you fancy something different then the specials board always has something that little bit extra. The staff and owners are always friendly and welcoming, if I had... More

You always know it's a great place to visit, when the car park is full and there are only a few tables left to sit Aton a Tuesday evening. Excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts. Hubby had Steak and Ale pie with chips and veg, is was 'proper' homemade fayre with really chunks of beef steak and I had... More
