If I didn't live in Boston, I would come quarterly to the legendary Enoteca Properzio, to taste and purchase wine, delight in the spirit of the Angelini family, laugh with friends and enjoy life to its fullest. I will always return here whenever in Italy. A national treasure!

I made a dinner reservation here based on TripAdvisor rating, but had no idea what I was getting my family into. As soon as we sat down, we realized that we were sitting for a wine and food pairing tasting, and we decided to go with the flow and just do it, with no idea how much it was going... More

This was an amazing wine bar/restaurant! We were greeted by the owner and treated to the best food we have had in Umbria! We felt like we were visiting old friends. Course after course was so delicious and the wine pairings were to die for. Please visit this restaurant and the flower-filled town of Spello. We want to go back!

7th generation of family wine merchants own this restaurant and when visiting Umbria this is a must visit stop for you. Umbria is the home of the finest olive oil in Italy and you'll find a wonderful selection here at the restaurant. Additionally, Roberto and his family will welcome you to their establishment as if you're visiting their own home.... More

Nice place to eat (good value and local food) but best place in Spello to drink great Italian wines. The owner is very kind and it's a pleasure listen to him when he tells you the wine you're going to drink...

We had a lovely lunch and with great service. The young man, part of the family that owns the place, offered excellent suggestions and was very knowledgeable. The garden in the back was perfect for us with our 2 small children. We will definitely go back when were are in Spello next time.

We had the pleasure of enjoying an early dinner here. Luca was very welcoming and knowledgeable about his wines and he can advise you in perfect English. We enjoyed a wonderful red Tuscan wine over a mixed bruschette (recommended!) a main dish and dessert. Salute!

Had a nice meal here in the sunshine while waiting for the church with the Pinturicchio frescoes to open. Cold cuts were delicious as was the truffle past. They had a fabulous wine in the shop but not on the actual wine list on the menu so if you're looking for something nice remember to go into the enoteca and... More

Enoteca Properzio 2 is set in a very specific context, specifically in a place dating in 1550, part of the famous palazzo dei Canonici , next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore in Spello. Legend says that here Pinturicchio lived and worked in this environment for a long time , (considered the most celebrated artist in the area).

Enoteca Properzio 2 , also protected by the Fine Arts, comes from the requeirement to offer customers a greater and more impressive space compared to the original Properzio 1. The restaurant is divided into several areas, designed for the maximum comfort of guests: outdoor area with umbrellas, indoor dining rooms , rooms for private tastings and a large interior courtyard for summer.

Why do people choose Enoteca Properzio 2?
It is the ideal place for breakfasts, lunches and exclusive dinners with tasting menus or a la carte or even to enjoy amazing aperitivi at any time during your day.
